I just started checking out sittercity.com and was disappointed to see that you have to pay for the service. Have you used it before? Is it worth it? Is there another site that's similar that's free? Or less money? I'm looking for a baby-sitter who would be able to do a hour or two at least one day a week (if I manage to line up some tutoring!) and maybe some weekend nights here and there if a family member isn't available. It just seems like I'll find a babysitter and then be done with it because I'm not looking for a bunch of sitters or anything.
Re: Have you used sittercity.com? Or a similar site?
we used babysitease.com. they are only in a few cities. They charge an initial fee of $50 up front, then $8 every time you use their service. You can schedule repeating sits though for just the one fee. I have been really happy with them. I would rather leave my child with someone who is over 18, CPR trained, and gone through an interview process than my cousin's 12 year old daughter's friend's older sister.
