Not TTC-related - Hair color

I <used> to color my hair on?occasion?for fun, but thanks to some unwelcome white strands, it's now becoming a necessity. ?:(??

I tried a brand that was on sale, which not only fried my hair, but turned it an odd shade of reddish-brown not found in nature. ?I was aiming for light brown. ?I lived with the "Little Orphan Annie on crack" look for a couple weeks and am now ready to try it again. ?

Can anyone recommend a good brand/shade???

Re: Not TTC-related - Hair color

  • I like PERFECT 10 or something like that. I've used it three or four times now and it really covers the silver white grays (I have a LOT!) nicely.

  • I went gray in my early 20s so I feel your pain. I used to used Herbal Essence - it's not a permanent color so it's more gentle on your hair. I now get it professionally done. That is one area where I think the money is well spent. ??

  • i feel your pain. i have turned my hair orange, pink and various other shades in an effort to save money on hair color. now with the gray i just get it proffessionaly done. its worth it. but i would go to a proffessional to fix your color and ask her once she is done if she has any suggestions on what you can do at home to extend your color.  when i went red it was mostly buying mild shampoo and only washing my hair a few times a week. i also bought a "dry" shampoo to extend time between washings so my hair didnt look so greasy.

    hope that helps
