Had an amnio today....waiting...

I had to get an amnio done today to check on the babies lung maturity, I was FREAKING out and so nervous about it, but it ended up not being too bad.

I haven't posted much about it, but I have had so many problems with my kidney throughout my pregnancy (i have a tube coming out of it now), they are trying to figure out if I can deliver a bit early. The doctor actually mentioned delivery in the next couple days which freaked me out! They originally wanted me to get to 36 weeks, so I have no clue what is going to happen.?

I'm nervous and we are just waiting to hear about the results. Please send some good vibes our way!! Everything seems to be happening fast!!

I hope everything comes out ok.  Can they do the steroid shots if the baby's lungs aren't ready?  I had those before having Ben and I swear they ddi the trick becuase he was 4 weeks early and had no problems at all.

How long does it take to get the results?

You've been through so much Angie, I hope the last few weeks (or days?) go smoothly for you.  They already gave you the steriod shots, right?  I remember they made them sound painful when they went to give them to me.  All I could think is that they were nothing compared to PIO

I've been wondering if you'd had that test yet, glad it wasn't as awful as you thought it was going to be.  Girlfriend, I'm miserable with one baby inside me and no PG complications, I can't imagine what you're going through with twins and kidney problems!?!  Hopefully the steroid shots last week did help those little boys and you can see them soon.

I saw your NYE pic in the hospital -   It was so cute and so sad.  I hope you get the news you want soon.  I have no doubt that the little men are going to be perfect and healthy!  You're going to be such a great mom.
