Teething: what worked for you?

For your baby I mean.Wink

I am using teething tablets and that seems to work best so far but she's still so miserable sometimes.  I have also used tylenol for fever, ora-gel (not so much) and teething rings (these work well... for while).

(And yes I know for sure she is teething this early.  We have been to the doctor as well.)

 TIA for any help.

Re: Teething: what worked for you?

  • Unfortuately, nothing. Orajel, teethting tablets, Tylenol and Motrin are all useless. Nursing provides temporary relieft...but I'm not willing to be a human teether. LOL.

  • Holy crap!  I had no clue that they start teething around 3 months!  My DS will be 3 months tomorrow, and I'm so delusional that I thought the teething wouldn't start until around 8 months!  Ugh.  (Sorry I don't have an answer, but I'll be following this post!)
  • I thought 3 months was too early as well, WRONG, lol.  I thought she was just gassy, nope.  I asked some of my friends and 3 of them said their children started between 3-4 months too. Who would have thought?

  • Cole had his first 2 teeth at 4 months.  Teething tablets worked the best for us.  Also anything cold that he could chew on worked and made him a happy little boy.
  • I did everything you did and also put frozen fruit or ice cube in a teething feeder, I think it was by Sassy

    Good Luck?

  • tablets worked well for us for *most* teeth. the eye teeth and molars required motrin.

  • Motrin is best, but i'm pretty sure you can't use it until 6 months.  A semi frozen wet rag helps some.  I put vanilla on DS's gums and it would help temporarily.  Rubbing her gums with a finger-toothbrush or gauze helps too.

  • Never tried it, but I've heard of people using these: https://www.teethingnecklace.com/.  The ones on that site are kind of pricey...you might be able to find cheaper ones on etsy.com.
