yep, i'm from ct. i live about 10 mins from there in Cromwell. I give you credit for going there. We were going to take DS but it was mobbed. So we got chinese instead. That chinese place right there is awesome!

It actually wasn't *that* bad while we were there. I mean, quite a few people but I tend to be "in my own world" anyway --- especially when it's just me with both kids. I'm so focused on making sure I can see them at all times that I tend to not even notice everyone else!

We actually owned land in Cromwell and were originally going to build but found out that our taxes would have been $12k/year for the house and decided that $1k/month JUST for the taxes was just too much for us. I regret not building though as Joe could have built the 3700 sq ft house for about $180k. We could have sold that thing about 1 year ago for at least $550k. Ah well --- it was time to get married, get out of his parents house and have kids.
Yeah, we actually pulled into the paarking lot and saw how crouded it was. My DS is only 19 months old, so I don't like going when there are a lot of people. There's not enough for him to do there.
We went to the Meriden one a few weeks ago for a party and they must have redone it cause it wasn't so bad. they had some toys and games (and a little slide) geared towards younger kids.
What is SSTB?
Oh, I didn't even know there was one in Meriden. I've been to the Manchester one (about 8 years ago) and yea, that one wasn't so nice. I mean, it wasn't horrible --- not as horrible as Nest moms would make you think anyway! HA! -- but it just wasn't as bright as the Newington one.
SSTB = Super Secret Toddler Board. It's a spin off message board from the Nest.
the meriden one use to be super sketchy, but not so bad now. Its about 10 or 15 mins south of the tpke one. Right off route 5.
