New to this whole chat thing.

One of my friends suggested that join the bump and meet people in my area that are pregnant. (Being that I am the only one in my circle of friends to either be pregnant, or have a child at all).  I think it was a good suggestion, but I am not so good at the whole chat/blog thing. So here is my attempt. I am 27 weeks pregnant with my first, he's a boy (Max), 29 years old, teacher in Snoqualmie. Just looking for some "real person" insight into this whole pregnancy thing.

Welcome!  I'm glad you decided to come over here!  Post and reply here and there and you will be a pro nestie/bumpie before you know it!  Nothing against the trimester boards but usually you can get a lot more advice and help from moms on this board (all the advice, with none of the snark!).   Its usually a little slow on the weekends, especially this weekend for some reason, but it picks up a lot during the week!   

Congrats on the pregnancy, I'm currently pregnant with my first (also a boy) too!

This feels much better. I was about to give up last night, after having 50 views and no responses on any of my posts. I get the whole "snarky attitude" thing. What is up with that? Aren't these boards intended to help people??? Thanks for the suggestion. I really appreciate it. And congrats on your boy.

I love your maternity photos. I am having mine done a week from Monday by an amazing photographer, Kate McElwee. She does mainly wedding and engagement photos, but I am going to be her first "bump" session. Thanks again for your help.

Congratulations on your pregnancy! I agree that the Seattle board is the best spot to be The ladies here are the best on the Nest/Bump.

Looks like you are planning a move soon? That will be nice to have your new little family in your new home!

Oh yes. We are moving in March, right before he is born. We live in Kent right now, which is so far from all of our friends/family. Apart from becoming parents, and moving, both my husband and I are switching careers. So it is a busy time in our lives. But so wonderful at the same time.

Ah yes, Kate McElwee is well known around these parts    She is friends with a few of the girls on the regular Seattle board.  You could check that board out to meet more people and to talk about non-baby related things..
