My how things have changed...

So my dad sent me a batch of pictures from when I was a baby - I have no idea why, maybe being a grandpa has made him nostalgic.  So I'm looking through them and there's one where I'm maybe a couple months old and I'm lying in the crib and inside the crib right above my head is all these baby supplies, like baby powder, a bunch of bottles of lotion and other unidentifiable things, one of those nose sucker thingees, etc. etc.   Just in there with me, chillin' by my head.  I guess my parents thought the crib would be handy for storage as well as a place for me to sleep.  It kinda makes all the hullabaloo now about crib bumpers being safe a little funny.  :)~

  • That's so funny. My grandma keeps asking me why I don't just give Isabelle some food already. She tried to give her some chocolate the other day. sheesh.

  • Yeah my mom is a pediatric nurse and she even rolls her eyes at all the safety stuff  I worry about.

Apparently I started eating solids when I was about 2 months old and was on solids only by 9 months. Funny how things change.

  • well now, baby powder is a no-no!  And DH came home from the hospital in a box!  Now, they won't let you leave until you can show them how to put a baby in a car seat properly!

  • That's funny, when my IL's brought DH home they didn't have a crib yet so they put him in a dresser drawer.
