Really Applebees?

So DS and I had lunch with a friend at Applebees today.  After being home for about an hour I realized I left my coat there.  So I call, and they say they don't have it. Well I looked all over and decided that was the only place it could be so I ran up there to ask in person.  As soon as I asked for it the greeter was like, oh it's right over here.  Now I know it's not their job to keep track of things I leave behind but really, you don't have it and then 10 mintues later your greeter knows exactly where it is???

Sounds like GHM's experience when they THREW AWAY her DS's "Lambchop" lovey.  (I think it was Applebees too.)

At least they had it! I substituted for a teacher one day and left my book on her desk. When I went back the next morning to get it, she'd already given it to one of her students. Because so many K-3 special ed students read novels.
