Size of Wall Letters

What size (length) letters do you all recommend?  I want to order them from Craft Cuts.  Also, is it necessary to get more than 1/4" thickness?  I want to decoupage them to match our bedding.

I got 8 inch letter from ebay already in my bedding

we got the 8" ones and they are just right.  got them from bcrafty.com

I got 6" letters because her name is long that if I got them any bigger, they would take up to much space. The width increases a lot with the height. I only ordered 1/8" thickness, but I did them in a bright color that stands out, so I don't think it matters that they are not so thick. And I'm using the spray adhesive they recommended on Craft Cuts, but if I were going to do ribbon, I would have gotten them thicker.

We did 1/4 inch thickness, 8 inch letters. They're great! We ordered some circles to go on the walls too and I got those 1/8 inch thick...I wish I would've gotten the circles in the 1/4 inch thickness too because I like the sturdiness of it and how much it stands out from the wall.
