Size of Letters?

What size (length) letters do you all recommend?  I want to order them from Craft Cuts.  Also, is it necessary to get more than 1/4" thickness?

about 10" - it might depend on how long the baby's name is. if it's longer I'd go for 8"

I got 7" but her name is 8 letters long so it fits better on the wall than the larger ones would have.

might depend on how many letters you need. I was going to get 8" letters but ended up with 6" ones because that's what I could find cheap to DIY. They look fine with a 6-letter name. I think 8" could have gotten a bit too big for us.
