I start spotting with ovulation and continue spotting through the whole Luteal phase then start a full period for three to four days. Does or has anyone have/had something similar. I am 7 months off the pill and have 6 months in a row of charting history with this problem. We are TTA until August and I'm just wondering if anyone had any advice in the meantime or if we should push up schedule.
Thanks ladies. I've been lurking through posts every so often and everyone seems really helpful.
Re: Spotting on whole Luteal phase
This happens to me, so I know how frustrating it is. It first started off as just a few days of spotting before AF, when I was about 6 months off the pill. Almost 3 years later, it now starts right after I ovulate and continues for about 11-12 days until I get my period. I've had my progesterone levels tested several times in that time span and they always come back normal.
Regardless, the only thing I've found that prevents me from spotting is Prometrium. I take it a day after the spotting starts, 1 pill per day as a suppository, and the spotting stays away my entire LP. I have a more normal LP of 14 days when I'm on it as well. None of my REs have ever figured out why I spot so much, I guess they just figure if the Prometrium works, there's no sense in obsessing about it.
So Prometrium might help you, but you'll need to make an appointment and have your P4 levels tested first. Good luck.

I have this to some extent too. Right after I went off bcp I started spotting at 9-10 dpo, and then at 4 months off it started at 6-7dpo, and then the last 4 cycles the spotting started at 3dpo. Ugh, I know how annoying it is!!
I *just* got my progesterone tested this week and should get the results today, but I'm expecting it to be normal based on my post-o temps. I'm probably like the pp -- they won't be able to explain why.
Things I've also had tested that you might want to check out: thyroid blood tests, proactin blood tests, and vaginal ultrasound for polyps & fibroids.
Good luck, I'm sorry you have the annoying spotting curse

Yes! I had this exact thing-- SUPER annoying. I took the pill for years, and then I suddenly started spotting. I tried a bunch of different brands and nothing helped. Then I went off the pill and TTA and was still spotting! I would usually spot right after O until my period came-- didn't even need to chart since I could tell what was going on from spotting!
There were a few months where I didn't have spotting-- they were months just after a surgery when I was also doing acupuncture & herbs, but it eventually came back. I even had spotting the cycle prior to IVF.
I'm really hoping pregnancy will *cure* me, but I'm not all that confident. Once we're done with babies, I may look into more permanent solutions.
