This lady on first tri said she has done research and it is good for you to blow smoke in your child's ears when they have an ear infection.... Really? I thought the general rule was to NOT smoke around your kids... I can't possible understand how that would heal and ear infection....

And, if I remember correctly, I think they actually say that smoking around your children can increase the chance of them getting ear infections.

Is it cigarette smoke? Pot smoke? Candle smoke? What kind of smoke is she talking about? Not that it matters. It's just so ridiculous that I can't believe someone posted about it.

It could be some sort of holistic or alternative medicine. Just trying to see some point in the poor woman.

actually the smoke irritates the estation tubes and causes swelling (which is why kids around smoke get more ear infections)... so WTF is she doing posting that on a message board for naive people to read and go home and do to their children...

but i just googled it and its an old wives tale...
