Do I need Beta Testing?

I got my bfp on Sunday and the the dr. confirmed it on Monday with blood work. I hear a lot of women getting beta tests. Is this something you recommend?

Beta tests are usualy for people that have high risk pregnancies or had trouble concieving.

Beta testing is usually only if you have IF.

I think that, in general, its for your peace of mind. But typically your OB will just make sure everything looks good and is going according to plan during your u/s.

My OB tests everyone who has used a fertility drug as standard practice.  I used Clomid so I had bloodwork at 9DPO and 13 DPO.  I was tested for HCG doubling and progesterone levels.

 If you didn't have any problems conceiving, you should be fine.

Also, if you had a previous miscarriage they like to do them.  I had them done because of a previous m/c.  I did not have them done with the first pregnancy.
