My son has a very small area on his penis that readhered after his circumcision. I showed it to his pedi and she said it's nothing to worry about. I thought this response was a little odd...Has anyone else experienced this, where they were told to leave it alone? As they grow, can the adhesion detach on its own?

Re: Penile adhesion
My pedi checked J's out at his two-month checkup and said it looked great, but he did say that we could "encourage" it to separate by just very gently stretching the top from the bottom any time we changed him. (Not sure if I explained that well...)
He said that it will eventually work it's way out and get that "nice rim" around the top. Ha! I'm too immature not to giggle at that.
I had to LOL at this :-) I am constantly worried about DSs penis too (he is intact though)...I worry more about getting the yam sack clean (that is what DH calls it, don't ask!) and that I am hurting him when i do it!
MiracleFox- My brothers would DIE if I asked them what their balls looked like! That is too funny!
Not the same, but my 3 month old DD had a labial adhesion at her 2 mo appointment. I had no idea that could happen but the pedi had us put estrogen cream on it for a few weeks. I think it's still there, but if nothing else it should go away with hormone production at puberty. I will not be pulling it apart- ouch!
