Hi! I haven't seen you around in awhile. Hope you had a good holiday.
I was wondering if you had heard anything from Milkin Mama's. I'm pumping way more than Isabelle will be able to eat in time so was thinking about becoming a donor. Thanks!!

Hi!
I had a great holiday, I hope you did as well.
I haven't been on much due to work, holidays and vacation. I did hear from Milkin Mama's. I also learned of a non-profit organization from a friend of mine. www.hmbana.org is the non-profit.
I had already started down the path with Milkin Mama's before I learned of the other... However, I still haven't gotten my dr's form faxed over (she's on mat leave and I need to follow up). They're very easy to work with. You fill out 2 health documents and get them signed by your doctor and also your baby's doctor. Then, they send somebody to you to test your blood. If you need it, you get a double electric Ameda breast pump. They ask for 100 oz at a time. They'll send you a prepaid overnight package. You save up and send them a shipment when you have 100+oz available.
The non-profit organization appears to work in a very similar manner however, I don't believe they offer the pump and they don't have quite as easy of an online interface.
Congrats on your good stash! I think this is such a worthy cause and hope to send a shipment soon and continue to donate as long as I still have good results pumping.

Thanks for the info. I think I'll wait one more month just to make sure everything stays on track and then sign up. The pump is a nice perk!
