Adoption

Give me feedback on this fundraiser idea

A photographer has offered to donate two sessions that include:

90 minute session
8x10 print
gallery wrapped canvas (size TBD)
CD of images

We're going to raffle these -- I'm thinking $10/ticket for a chance to win one of two sessions.  Do you think $10 is about right?  Would you do $5?

Re: Give me feedback on this fundraiser idea

  • Hmm...who are you thinking of raffling them off to?

I don't think $10 is too much, but maybe it would depend on the group of people involved.

I think the whole photo idea is really great - do you know the photographer?

  • $10 is good, but if you do $5, then you can do something like 5 tickets for $20 to try and get more.  People like the "sale" prices, plus they will have more chances to win!

TTC since May 2006. After 3 failed Clomid cycles, 2 failed Injectibles/IUIs, 2 failed IVFs and 1 failed FET, we moved on to adoption!

Last ditch FET resulted in BFP, and identical twin girls!

  • Oh, I like kgs's idea!  I would definitely do the whole 5 for $20 idea.

  • Good idea!

We know the photographer -- and we're raffling in the Dallas-Fort Worth area (or anyone who wants to come to that area for pictures!).  Most of our friends/family live there.

  • That is a great idea! I really like the $5 or 5/$20 idea. I will definitely be putting this fundraiser idea aside for future use!

  • Great idea - and I like the two prices too.  We do raffles for Rotary and always do the "sale" prices too - and for the most part, that's what people get!
  • I would totally do the $5 each and 5/$20 idea...I wish I lived in TX, I would buy some tix :)

  • The 5 for $20 is great.  I would def buy some.  But unfortunately I'm not in Texas :(  Families are always interested in taking pics.
