Fibroids

This is my first pregnancy, I am 36 and everything is foreign to me. My mom passed in 2010 and I wish I had her. My fiancée is present and supportive but I miss my mom. I have fibroids and reading a bit too much about them and some complications they may have. I’ve always had fibroids, I’m 9 weeks exactly today. My first prenatal appointment is tomorrow and I’m so nervous

Re: Fibroids

  • Congratulations! I’m so sorry about your mom, I know it’s hard to go through pregnancy without your mom’s guidance if she was your safe place. I don’t know much about fibroids, but I hope your questions are answered by your doctor tomorrow and you have some peace. Seeing the baby will be such a great experience you’ll always remember. Your mom is with you still, please lean on your other friends and family and let them support you as well! I’m wishing you all the best!!

  • The first ultrasound I had showed I had a fibroid. My husband was a bit scared about it, but the doctor said it wasn’t something to worry about as long as it stayed the same size. I would just trust your doctor on guidance and if it worries you, talk to him/her.
