  • 1.) ʙᴀʙʏ ɴᴜᴍʙᴇʀ: 2

    2.) ᴅᴜᴇ ᴅᴀᴛᴇ (ᴡᴇᴇᴋꜱ+ᴅᴀʏꜱ): 23+5

3.) ɴᴇxᴛ ᴀᴘᴘᴏɪɴᴛᴍᴇɴᴛ: GDM screen wednesday

    4.) ɢᴇɴᴅᴇʀ: girl

5.) ꜱʏᴍᴘᴛᴏᴍꜱ: PGP started really bad this week, it's very painful to walk or sit for any amount of time. I didn't have it with my first so definitely took me off guard. One of my girl friends was a physiotherapist so she taped my belly for me and I am shocked how well it seems to have worked, made the pain much more manageable. I'm going to keep doing Pilates as much as I can because it's supposed to help too.

6.) ᴀɴʏᴛʜɪɴɢ ᴇxᴄɪᴛɪɴɢ/ᴀɴɴᴏʏɪɴɢ: my MIL came for a visit this past weekend, thankfully I was working all weekend so barely had to see her. She made sure to rub my belly uninvited though, which I hate. She and my BIL are the only people who have ever actually done that, I know it's a thing you hear about all the time but every other human I've ever encountered seems to have basic social etiquette. She literally ran to my belly and started hugging it before even saying hi to me and I just stood there shocked and uncomfortable. Just weird. Anyone else have people do this?

  • @lizdiane456 mostly no on belly touchers but I have had a few over the years/pregnancies. My MIL isn't the type to even ask let alone do it without asking 😂 my mom does it fairly often though, and weirdly the only other person who ever has is an old (guy) friend's dad?! We were at a birthday party for the friend and I was very pregnant, and he put his hands on my belly (without greeting me either) and said "blessed be the fruit of thy womb" while looking me straight in the eyes. I was raised catholic so I got that the intent was very positive, but it was odd considering I'm not sure he even knew my name.
  • 1.) ʙᴀʙʏ ɴᴜᴍʙᴇʀ: 2

    2.) ᴅᴜᴇ ᴅᴀᴛᴇ (ᴡᴇᴇᴋꜱ+ᴅᴀʏꜱ): 3/14; 23w2d

    3.) ɴᴇxᴛ ᴀᴘᴘᴏɪɴᴛᴍᴇɴᴛ: This Wednesday

    4.) ɢᴇɴᴅᴇʀ: Boy

5.) ꜱʏᴍᴘᴛᴏᴍꜱ: Hard to get comfortable and stay asleep. Hands or legs numb randomly

6.) ᴀɴʏᴛʜɪɴɢ ᴇxᴄɪᴛɪɴɢ/ᴀɴɴᴏʏɪɴɢ: Arm numbing during sleep, and excited for Holidays.
  • 1.) ʙᴀʙʏ ɴᴜᴍʙᴇʀ: 4

    2.) ᴅᴜᴇ ᴅᴀᴛᴇ (ᴡᴇᴇᴋꜱ+ᴅᴀʏꜱ): March 15, 23w1

    3.) ɴᴇxᴛ ᴀᴘᴘᴏɪɴᴛᴍᴇɴᴛ: Dec. 11

    4.) ɢᴇɴᴅᴇʀ: girl

5.) ꜱʏᴍᴘᴛᴏᴍꜱ: I had honestly never heard of the numb arm while sleeping thing as a pregnancy symptom when several of us started talking about it, but it started happening to me too Saturday night. SO annoying, it woke me up 3 or 4 times a night. Also overheating in the house if I spend so much as 20 minutes doing any task, even sitting folding laundry. Our dog has started getting extra walks just so I can go outside without a jacket and cool off haha.

6.) ᴀɴʏᴛʜɪɴɢ ᴇxᴄɪᴛɪɴɢ/ᴀɴɴᴏʏɪɴɢ: just excited to have gotten started on decorating and Christmas planning! I really love the holidays and am feeling more festive as the days go by!
  • @lizdiane456 I had a lady come up to me multiple times in the grocery store once and rub my belly. It made me very uncomfortable and I had to push her hand away from my body. I am so scared of some nut job trying to attack me and cut my baby out that I really freaked out that day. I know that is probably a ridiculously irrational fear but during one of my pregnancies there were several stories of it happening it one was near my SIL who was pregnant also.
  • @emeraldcity603 I've heard those stories and they HAUNT me. I can't imagine how terrified your SIL must have been to have one so close. I don't think I've ever heard of one happening anywhere near us, and it's still horrifying. I have flat out refused to make new IRL "mom friends" during pregnancy because of it though.
  • 1.) ʙᴀʙʏ ɴᴜᴍʙᴇʀ: 4

    2.) ᴅᴜᴇ ᴅᴀᴛᴇ (ᴡᴇᴇᴋꜱ+ᴅᴀʏꜱ): 3/29, 21+2

    3.) ɴᴇxᴛ ᴀᴘᴘᴏɪɴᴛᴍᴇɴᴛ: Friday

    4.) ɢᴇɴᴅᴇʀ: Boy

5.) ꜱʏᴍᴘᴛᴏᴍꜱ: getting harder to get comfortable to sleep, heart burn. feet aching and getting hard bend over and get on and off the floor at work!

6.) ᴀɴʏᴛʜɪɴɢ ᴇxᴄɪᴛɪɴɢ/ᴀɴɴᴏʏɪɴɢ: I had my anatomy scan on Friday. Baby was moving around a ton so it was hard to get all the pictures they needed, but it seems like everything they could see looked good. I had to schedule a repeat scan in 4 weeks to try and see anything else they couldn't get. I also got called by MFM office yesterday wanting to schedule another growth scan at 32 weeks. That kind of made me nervous. I went digging through my chart and it says I'm high risk due to IVF, obesity, glucose intolerance, and SSRI use. That kind of bummed me out and made me stressed. Ive never had a high risk pregnancy before. It looks like I will have additional growth scans, and NST monitoring starting at 36 weeks. Things Ive read online say most OB's like to induce ivf babies at 39 weeks if they haven't gone into labor by then. Just feel like I'm processing a lot and this is the first time this pregnancy has felt "different" than my other 3. Any one else high risk?
  • 1.) ʙᴀʙʏ ɴᴜᴍʙᴇʀ: 2

    2.) ᴅᴜᴇ ᴅᴀᴛᴇ (ᴡᴇᴇᴋꜱ+ᴅᴀʏꜱ): March 29 (21+2)

    3.) ɴᴇxᴛ ᴀᴘᴘᴏɪɴᴛᴍᴇɴᴛ: Next week

    4.) ɢᴇɴᴅᴇʀ: boy

5.) ꜱʏᴍᴘᴛᴏᴍꜱ: Achy in my hips and low back sometimes. Some RLP here and there.

6.) ᴀɴʏᴛʜɪɴɢ ᴇxᴄɪᴛɪɴɢ/ᴀɴɴᴏʏɪɴɢ: It's so nice to know we are having a son, but now the name hunt struggles are in full force. There so few names DH and I like from the start, much less trying to find the right fit for this kiddo. Y'all who have been struggling for weeks I FEEL IT!

@beac@beachmama14 My pregnancy is still classified as "normal" but because I had a mysterious PPROM at 36 weeks with my first that required a c-section I will be getting extra monitoring at the start of the third tri. We also found out at the anatomy scan for this pregnancy, that while my son was overall heathy, he has two "soft markers" that alone are not considered worrisome, but together has me flagged for more monitoring (in the form of an NIPT, which I had chosen to not do early in the pregnancy and another thorough US with pediatric cardiology at 28 weeks to get a better look at his heart). I wasn't worried about it but trying to parse out insurance coverage and what is medically necessary combined with "why do I need all this extra monitoring if my pregnancy is "normal" had me overwhelmed and sobbing last night. My thoughts and prayers for you and your LO. I'm sorry you have to deal with all the high risk markers.
  • @beachmama14 @midnightatsunset sending you both love 🫶 I had a "temporarily" high risk tag with baby 3 because I was told I had placenta previa at my anatomy scan. It turns out after a repeat scan a few weeks later, I absolutely did not have placenta previa 😒 (and no, it wasn't that my placenta had been covering the cervix and then moved enough to be safe - I had a fundal placenta [meaning attached at the top of my uterus instead of in front or back] the entire time 🙄 they were just wrong in the measurements they took and sent to my midwife) but for those few weeks my entire birth plan basically went out the window. I could no longer have a planned homebirth with the midwife I've always had, I had to have a scheduled c-section between 37 and 39 wks to prevent spontaneous labor and me and baby potentially hemorrhaging. It was so overwhelming and so scary. In the end we were all perfectly safe and healthy, and I hope the same goes for you both as well ❤️ the anxiety just eats at you, I hope there is good news in store soon. And @beachmama14, I'm sorry you had to find out that way instead of your provider being upfront with you the entire time. I doubt this is new information for them that they consider you high risk.
  • @thescarletmom It happened within a mile or 2 of my SIL. So crazy!

@beachmama14 I am suppose to have growth scans every 4 weeks from here on out due to my age. I’m sorry you got hit with this in a surprising way. Hopefully everything progresses smoothly and the rest of your pregnancy is super boring.

    1)ʙᴀʙʏ ɴᴜᴍʙᴇʀ: 8

    2.) ᴅᴜᴇ ᴅᴀᴛᴇ (ᴡᴇᴇᴋꜱ+ᴅᴀʏꜱ): 3/25; 21+6

3.) ɴᴇxᴛ ᴀᴘᴘᴏɪɴᴛᴍᴇɴᴛ: had one this morning. Another anatomy scan with extra scan of the heart.

    4.) ɢᴇɴᴅᴇʀ: boy

5.) ꜱʏᴍᴘᴛᴏᴍꜱ: arms going numb at night, contractions here and there, fatigue after super busy days.

6.) ᴀɴʏᴛʜɪɴɢ ᴇxᴄɪᴛɪɴɢ/ᴀɴɴᴏʏɪɴɢ: My scan went great this morning. They got good pictures of his aortic valve and saw what looks like 3 clear cusps. I still have to see the pediatric cardiologist for a follow up after he is born to confirm. Baby was moving a ton and had plenty of fluid. So everything looked healthy. They are forcing the issue of changing my due date so we discussed that again. This was the MFM and not my OB so not a huge deal. My OB is fine with keeping my original date. I  concerned I will get pressure for induction at 39 weeks. Based on my last few babies I doubt I make it to 39 weeks. We will just wait and see.
  • I forgot to post this amazing shot of baby boy’s face. He looks just like all my other boys. 😍

  • @emeraldcity603 what a sweetheart! I've never had a 3D ultrasound but they're so cool.
  • @thescarletmom It was taken at the MFM but I have received a few 3D pictures because they switch wands midway through the US. This one was super clear though. He really looks just like all my other baby boys. It’s like we can’t produce anything but that little face.
  • 1.) ʙᴀʙʏ ɴᴜᴍʙᴇʀ: 4

    2.) ᴅᴜᴇ ᴅᴀᴛᴇ (ᴡᴇᴇᴋꜱ+ᴅᴀʏꜱ): 21 + 4 I think!

    3.) ɴᴇxᴛ ᴀᴘᴘᴏɪɴᴛᴍᴇɴᴛ:  December 2

    4.) ɢᴇɴᴅᴇʀ: Girl

5.) ꜱʏᴍᴘᴛᴏᴍꜱ: Not that much but I have been getting the numb arm while sleeping too! So annoying.

6.) ᴀɴʏᴛʜɪɴɢ ᴇxᴄɪᴛɪɴɢ/ᴀɴɴᴏʏɪɴɢ: I feel like there are things I was going to mention but now I can't remember!

@beac@beachmama14 I don't think they used the words high risk, I don't have anything unique going on besides being older, but they recommended another scan at 32 weeks for me too because of age! I am going to switch healthcare next month though so I don't know if it will happen.

I don't think I have had many strangers rub my belly but I did have a strange man come up and kiss my baby! I am still disturbed.
  • @beachmama14 I don't know if they technically labeled me "high risk" this time, but I am AMA, and it's noted on my chart that I am obese and have mental illness, so that's fun! I guess the Triple X syndrome diagnosis does technically make me high risk though, since they want me to do a growth scan every 4 weeks now.

    1.) ʙᴀʙʏ ɴᴜᴍʙᴇʀ: 2

    2.) ᴅᴜᴇ ᴅᴀᴛᴇ (ᴡᴇᴇᴋꜱ+ᴅᴀʏꜱ): March 16 / 23w3d

3.) ɴᴇxᴛ ᴀᴘᴘᴏɪɴᴛᴍᴇɴᴛ:  Tuesday, 11/25 for appt + scan

    4.) ɢᴇɴᴅᴇʀ: Girl

5.) ꜱʏᴍᴘᴛᴏᴍꜱ: I have this aching pain in my vagina that I am pretty sure is PGP or some sort of pelvic dysfunction. I do not remember this with my first but holy crap it's annoying and it hurts.

6.) ᴀɴʏᴛʜɪɴɢ ᴇxᴄɪᴛɪɴɢ/ᴀɴɴᴏʏɪɴɢ: So after the 4th round of antibiotics for the neverending UTI, the urine culture came back as the same result. The doctor suggested I come in and have a catheter placed so they can could get a sterile urine sample and see if the bacteria is truly in the bladder (bad), or if it's just surface contamination (good). So I went and did that and happy to report there is no bacteria in my bladder. BYE BYE antibiotics!
  • @fifilala516 about gosh darn time! Thank goodness there’s no more UTI concerns
  • @fifilala516 I’m so glad that is behind you! I was wondering about it and was hoping it would be in your update.
