Hello- want to connect

I wanted to introduce myself! When I was pregnant with my first, I used this app and met some wonderful women who became lifelong friends. Here I am again in a totally different situation but still want to connect! 

My son is 14. His gf is 13. (They were 12 and 13 at the time). They got pregnant and hid it from everyone until she was 5 months. Her mom is a single mom of 3 and chose adoption. They called me to let me know. Me and my son immediately went up to the dr office. I without hesitation said chose me. My husband was on board! I called him on the way to the dr! Long story short- we have guardianship of the baby. I didn’t feel comfortable doing adoption because I didn’t want to take away their rights as parents. They’re so young I just don’t know how they will feel when they’re 18-21. I want them to still be kids, go to high school, get a drivers license and a job. College even. So we did a guardianship. Now if they chose to never get the baby back then that’s fine too because he’s taken care of. We did everything through the court. So we legally are the baby’s guardians indefinitely until either mom or dad takes us back to court to change it. We have a great relationship with our son’s gf. Anyways! You may see me on here asking questions bc it’s been 14 years since I’ve had a baby and sometimes things feel brand new! 

Matthew was born on 9/25/25! He weighed 7 pounds and 12 ounces and was 19.5 inches long.

i do work full time as a General Manager in retail and my FMLA leave is almost over and I’m super sad about it. Financially though I need to go back!
