  • 1.) ʙᴀʙʏ ɴᴜᴍʙᴇʀ: 2
    2.) ᴅᴜᴇ ᴅᴀᴛᴇ (ᴡᴇᴇᴋꜱ+ᴅᴀʏꜱ): march 11, 20+6
3.) ɴᴇxᴛ ᴀᴘᴘᴏɪɴᴛᴍᴇɴᴛ: OB on Friday
    4.) ɢᴇɴᴅᴇʀ: girl
5.) ꜱʏᴍᴘᴛᴏᴍꜱ: feeling good still! Mild headache yesterday but nothing to complain about. Braxton Hicks have definitely started but very mild. Have to pee all the time and weird dreams
6.) ᴀɴʏᴛʜɪɴɢ ᴇxᴄɪᴛɪɴɢ/ᴀɴɴᴏʏɪɴɢ: we (I) am thinking of doing a baby sprinkle. For our son's shower I was having contractions throughout (irregular but still) and I was so very sick, in and out of hospital getting IVs, it was lovely and my friends did a great job but I also feel like I kinda missed out, you know?  I don't want a big thing but I'm thinking maybe a tea party theme because this one is a girl? Are showers things that people actually do for second babies though? Or is it considered tacky?
7.) ɢᴛᴋʏ (ꜱʜᴀʀᴇ ᴀɴʏᴛʜɪɴɢ): What's your favorite Halloween candy? I really like gummies over chocolate. Specifically any kind of sour gummy
    8.) Qᴜᴇꜱᴛɪᴏɴꜱ: not for now

  • Selfishly started this week's to give some updates...;)

    1.) ʙᴀʙʏ ɴᴜᴍʙᴇʀ: 2

    2.) ᴅᴜᴇ ᴅᴀᴛᴇ (ᴡᴇᴇᴋꜱ+ᴅᴀʏꜱ): 20w1d / March 16

3.) ɴᴇxᴛ ᴀᴘᴘᴏɪɴᴛᴍᴇɴᴛ: Had my anatomy scan today. Next appt 11/25

    4.) ɢᴇɴᴅᴇʀ: girl

5.) ꜱʏᴍᴘᴛᴏᴍꜱ: Heartburn, RLP, leg cramping at night.

6.) ᴀɴʏᴛʜɪɴɢ ᴇxᴄɪᴛɪɴɢ/ᴀɴɴᴏʏɪɴɢ: The fetal echocardiogram looked good - they couldn't see one thing but said if they got a good view of it during the anatomy scan then I wouldn't have to come back. Luckily, they got what they needed today so all good there. The anatomy scan looked good too. The doctor just wants me to have a sonogram every month to monitor growth since IUGR can be associated with Triple X Syndrome. Which...fine by me! Also did a repeat urine culture FOR THE FOURTH TIME to see if this stupid UTI cleared up.

7.) ɢᴛᴋʏ (ꜱʜᴀʀᴇ ᴀɴʏᴛʜɪɴɢ): What's your favorite Halloween candy? I don't really discriminate but I do love me a gummy candy, especially a gummy worm.

8.) Qᴜᴇꜱᴛɪᴏɴꜱ: Anyone do a registry yet?

@lizdiane456 second showers are typically a regional thing. Some people view them as tacky but others don’t. I have had a sprinkle/shower for several of my babies. My family surprised us with one once, my friends took me out and did a little sprinkle, then I have had some friends throw full blown showers. My first 2 were 12 years apart and both of those were big events. I say, if someone is offering, let them celebrate you and this baby.

@fifilala516 I’m glad your scan went well. I started my registry a few weeks ago. Just adding stuff I know I like and need new for each baby. Some stuff for decorating his room and fun new clothes. I do it mostly for the discount. Any big item I need goes on there for sure.

    2.) ᴅᴜᴇ ᴅᴀᴛᴇ (ᴡᴇᴇᴋꜱ+ᴅᴀʏꜱ): 18+3
3.) ɴᴇxᴛ ᴀᴘᴘᴏɪɴᴛᴍᴇɴᴛ: anatomy scan next week
    4.) ɢᴇɴᴅᴇʀ: Girl
    5.) ꜱʏᴍᴘᴛᴏᴍꜱ: some back pain
6.) ᴀɴʏᴛʜɪɴɢ ᴇxᴄɪᴛɪɴɢ/ᴀɴɴᴏʏɪɴɢ: My daughter just lost both her first teeth in the last two days. We didn't find either one so maybe she ate them or something.
7.) ɢᴛᴋʏ (ꜱʜᴀʀᴇ ᴀɴʏᴛʜɪɴɢ): What's your favorite Halloween candy? Little chocolate bars like twix, snickers, milky way, etc. although this year I got myself a bag of the Halloween Sour Patch kids (the green, orange, purple ones) and they are so good! Better than other sour patch even.
    8.) Qᴜᴇꜱᴛɪᴏɴꜱ:

@lizdiane456 My mom wants to have a shower/sprinkle this time since I'm moving back home, it's basically going to be a repeat of my first baby shower exactly ten years before for my first baby (boy)! We did it at a tea house and they do the British afternoon tea service, so the plan is probably doing that again since everyone liked it. We didn't have a baby shower for my second or third babies though, it would have been impossible anyway since I didn't live around anyone. I don't know if it's tacky but it's not like anyone has to attend if they don't want to.
  • 1.) ʙᴀʙʏ ɴᴜᴍʙᴇʀ: 2
    2.) ᴅᴜᴇ ᴅᴀᴛᴇ (ᴡᴇᴇᴋꜱ+ᴅᴀʏꜱ): 3/14; 20w+3d
3.) ɴᴇxᴛ ᴀᴘᴘᴏɪɴᴛᴍᴇɴᴛ: November (can't remember the day)
    4.) ɢᴇɴᴅᴇʀ: boy
5.) ꜱʏᴍᴘᴛᴏᴍꜱ: Groin pain, and a bit of exhaustion still
    6.) ᴀɴʏᴛʜɪɴɢ ᴇxᴄɪᴛɪɴɢ/ᴀɴɴᴏʏɪɴɢ: These wildly vivid s*x dreams 🫣
7.) ɢᴛᴋʏ (ꜱʜᴀʀᴇ ᴀɴʏᴛʜɪɴɢ): What's your favorite Halloween candy? Hard to say a favorite but I like a candy that's pretty much extinct now 😂the original Take 5 (not the new one reeses bought out), I enjoy pretzels all ways including yogurt covered
    8.) Qᴜᴇꜱᴛɪᴏɴꜱ: Natm
  • 1.) ʙᴀʙʏ ɴᴜᴍʙᴇʀ: 8

    2.) ᴅᴜᴇ ᴅᴀᴛᴇ (ᴡᴇᴇᴋꜱ+ᴅᴀʏꜱ): 3/25; 19 weeks

3.) ɴᴇxᴛ ᴀᴘᴘᴏɪɴᴛᴍᴇɴᴛ: mid November for another scan and then regular appointment

    4.) ɢᴇɴᴅᴇʀ: boy

5.) ꜱʏᴍᴘᴛᴏᴍꜱ: still having heart palpitations, tired, moody

6.) ᴀɴʏᴛʜɪɴɢ ᴇxᴄɪᴛɪɴɢ/ᴀɴɴᴏʏɪɴɢ: we finally got our first snow. It keeps melting but its already super cold.

7.) ɢᴛᴋʏ (ꜱʜᴀʀᴇ ᴀɴʏᴛʜɪɴɢ): What's your favorite Halloween candy? I like sweet stuff and not a huge fan of chocolate candy. So probably something like a sour gummy.

    8.) Qᴜᴇꜱᴛɪᴏɴꜱ:
  • 1.) ʙᴀʙʏ ɴᴜᴍʙᴇʀ: 4
    2.) ᴅᴜᴇ ᴅᴀᴛᴇ (ᴡᴇᴇᴋꜱ+ᴅᴀʏꜱ): 3/6
3.) ɴᴇxᴛ ᴀᴘᴘᴏɪɴᴛᴍᴇɴᴛ: Repeat ultrasound 11/14
    4.) ɢᴇɴᴅᴇʀ: girl
5.) ꜱʏᴍᴘᴛᴏᴍꜱ: just this horrible heartburn at night and I'm getting winded easily.
6.) ᴀɴʏᴛʜɪɴɢ ᴇxᴄɪᴛɪɴɢ/ᴀɴɴᴏʏɪɴɢ: The anatomy scan went well - they saw everything they needed except for a couple of heart things. I always get a fetal echo because of family history of congenital heart defects, so my OB said I could just do that rather than a repeat ultrasound at the office. Well now the office is refusing to cancel the repeat ultrasound and says I'm "going against medical advice." I'm annoyed about having to take time off work twice in a week's time when it could all just be covered with the echo.

@emeraldcity603 I'm more of a fruity candy person (skittles, gummies, etc.) than chocolate candy.
@lizdiane456 It's totally up to you. I would be mortified if someone tried to throw me a sprinkle because it's not really a thing in the circles I'm in (or in our area really). None of my family or friends has ever had a shower beyond their first...and I also don't love being the center of attention.

    Pregnancy Ticker
  • @fifilala516 I only do a registry for the discount on diapers, creams, nursing supplies, etc. I won't share it with anyone - but thanks for the reminder to start putting things on there!

    Pregnancy Ticker
  • @crizz13 Couldn’t your doctor tell them you aren’t going against medical advice? I agree with you, it’s pointless if you’re going for the echo later that week.

    1.) ʙᴀʙʏ ɴᴜᴍʙᴇʀ: 2
    2.) ᴅᴜᴇ ᴅᴀᴛᴇ (ᴡᴇᴇᴋꜱ+ᴅᴀʏꜱ): March 19 (18+5)
    3.) ɴᴇxᴛ ᴀᴘᴘᴏɪɴᴛᴍᴇɴᴛ: November
    4.) ɢᴇɴᴅᴇʀ: unknown
5.) ꜱʏᴍᴘᴛᴏᴍꜱ: my hips and low back have been feeling a little sore, feeling baby move more and more often (yay!)
6.) ᴀɴʏᴛʜɪɴɢ ᴇxᴄɪᴛɪɴɢ/ᴀɴɴᴏʏɪɴɢ: the whole family caught colds this week. Fortunately pretty mild (except for my hubby who got hit hardest with body aches and mild fever), but handling a toddler who wants to be active despite being congested while I am also congested and tired is rough.
7.) ɢᴛᴋʏ (ꜱʜᴀʀᴇ ᴀɴʏᴛʜɪɴɢ): What's your favorite Halloween candy? I don't think it's halloween specific, but I really like chocolate and absolutely used Halloween as an excuse to buy candy for myself since DS doesn't eat sweets yet.
8.) Qᴜᴇꜱᴛɪᴏɴꜱ: Not a question, but more of an update. For those who gave advice on my toddler's sudden bath time woes - we are back on track with baths! No more tears, so long as we let him sit in the corner of the tub by the faucet without moving until bath time is over. Maybe he's afraid of slipping and it compounded with some sensory issues with his vaccine bandaids still remaining on his thighs. SO now that those are gone, he's feeling better so long as he gets to stay put (which is fine by me because now that he is no longer standing and trying to run in the tub my bath time experience got so much easier).
  • @midnightatsunset make sure he doesn’t suddenly stand up near the faucet. If it hits his back it can take skin with it. I had to get a faucet cover because one of my boys did that and it was horrific. It was a decent wound. I’m glad he is feeling more comfy in the bath. Hopefully that was just a phase.

@emeraldcity603 YIKES! thanks for the heads up. He is pretty cautious still but a faucet cover will be acquired ASAP.  I have a weird genetic skin condition (that my son appears to have dodged, thankfully) so I know the pain of getting some skin sheared off quite intimately because that happened to me a lot as a kid.
