Timing/Testing/CS: well as those lurking from last week may remember, my chart was a little wonky this cycle because I was ill right around O day so can’t be certain when O day was but according to FF I had a -1 timing, which I’ll take. But according to my own assumption, I had a -3 timing which is meh. Will be testing the day after DS birthday on Saturday if no period shows up on Friday. If I get a temperature spike before then, I will test then. I had a very obvious spike with DS so I “knew” I was pregnant before the test could even pick it up! I’d love to know that early again. 

Current CS as of today:

How are things going? Any questions?: I’m very doubtful this cycle. One, our timing wasn’t great because of illnesses. And two, I had quite a lot of SS with DS and just “knew” very early on and I’m not getting any of that. Every pregnancy is different though! 

R/R: very excited for Friday/Halloween! It’s DS’s birthday and then we’ll be trick or treating in the evening

Period started 10/23/2025 and ended on 10/26/2025 I'm On hormonal birth control patches and taking prenatal vitamins, I had 2 Orgasms that ended up stopping my menstrual period , is that normal ?

Huh? Why are you taking prenatal vitamins if you’re on a birth control patch? Orgasms don’t stop periods. What makes you think that? Are you trying to conceive?

The doctor recommended them ,
I just stop bleeding after I had a orgasm , so that is why I thought that.
And Yes I am trying to conceive in about 2 months ...

Okay that makes a little more sense. Are you trying to conceive now or are you trying in 2 months? 

ETA: but yes, orgasms don’t make your period stop so it was just a coincidence

Im going to try in two months , does coming off birth control Xulane make it easier to get pregnant ?

I’ve never heard of Xulane, sorry. I don’t think coming off birth control makes getting pregnant any better or worse. 

If you are planning on trying in two months, I suggest coming back to this board then! This is a Trying to Get Pregnant board. I also suggest changing your username to something easier to identify so we can get to know you better. I believe there is a pinned thread on the main board page on how to do that.

Update from me for those lurking:

I had a slight “spike” yesterday and I said I would test if I spiked but I decided not to test because DS woke me up 1.5 earlier than my usual testing time and I never really settled back down so when I tested at my usual time, I assumed it was because of my frequent waking and decided if it was as high or higher today, then I would test. I’m glad I didn’t waste the test because as you can see I had quite the drop. I don’t think it means my period is coming just yet which a drop usually would so I’m not counting myself out JUST yet. Still not hopeful though. This has been a weird cycle in general. First the O day being off from illness and then how my temp like, gradually decreased? That’s not normal for me.

@jackie_dunny I have had pregnancy charts with a steady climb and some with just the run of the mill temps typical of non pregnancy charts. Hopefully you aren’t out!
