Second Trimester Shenanigans

It’s about that time!! 

Spill it all! How are you feeling? First trimester symptoms easing up? New ones starting? 

Let’s talk about it all! Appointments, bumps, anatomy scans.. I’m here for it.

Hi, I will be 13 weeks on Sunday and having an ultrasound on Monday. I feel the prenatal appointments have been so few in the first trimester so I think that makes me anxious. I had a complete loss of symptoms around week 10 and was scared it was a sign of loss. Hcg levels were tested which also showed a lowered level so my doctor had me go to the emergency room to be checked. Baby showed up good on the ultrasound there which was my 1st scan. They did say I had a small subchorionic hematoma so I am hopeful that it is healing on its own.

Just had our 13 week check in, I didn’t expect the level of relief I’d feel going in. Got to see and hear her, she was bouncing around in there (I think she enjoyed the captain crunch I had before the appointment). All good on the NIPT and genetic testing, getting an early referral for some pelvic floor PT and I’m very excited to learn all that. 

Next appointment is Halloween 🎃 

symptoms have certainly eased but now I’m dealing with cute ligament (I think) pain later on in the evenings so belly band is on the way. Tried to get one from Once Upon a Child and it was missing a piece in the bag

speaking of OUAC- started buying some excellent items there for sooooo cheap- my store had a deal of 20 body suits for $10. Could not pass up

I think I'm still in denial I'm pregnant. Symptoms have been mild, outside the wildly slow digestion and extra bloat! And I don't have much of a belly yet. Definitely mixed feelings on that! But I have my second check up tomorrow, so once reconfirmed everything is good I'm going to go ahead and register at our hospital (required by week 20 here) and start setting up our baby registry to hopefully snag some black Friday deals
