I'm new to this forum, nice to connect with you all. I was recently diagnosed with PCOS after having difficulty conceiving for a couple of years (after an easy conception/pregnancy with my first child, and unfortunately, a miscarriage subsequently)- IUI did not help for two cycles so decided to move onto IVF due to my "advanced" age (40). I am feeling nervous but mostly hopeful as I hear that IVF is very effective for PCOS + older age (at least getting the highest quality embryos may help with healthier pregnancies and live births).
To be frank, I am feeling emotional... I did not picture IVF being in my/our family's future. But I do see it as the best foot forward and mostly feel optimistic and excited.
Any hopeful stories out there or words of encouragement? Especially in the ~40 age group or those with PCOS?
There is something to be said about being a part of a community, albeit virtual. The feeling of being less alone is a huge help in itself.

Re: IVF with PCOS (at 40)
I just did an embryo transfer and am about to do another one and I definitely relate to the feeling of not thinking I would have had to do this. IVF is definitely a hard road to go down.
