    Team blue/pink/green: Blue

Upcoming Appointments: None til Sept. 24 (OB follow-up and US)

How are you feeling?: Not gonna lie, it's been a bit of a rough week. All of a sudden, acid reflux has reared its ugly head so that's been fun. It doesn't really respond to Tums, so I've been taking Pepcid daily and am looking at my diet to see if I can reduce acidic foods a bit. I've also started having pretty intense pain in all the joints in my legs, all the time but especially at night. My right ankle today feels like I sprained it even though I've done nothing to it. Very odd.

On the other hand, baby boy has been very active and it's fun and reassuring to feel him moving around in there so often.

Rants/Raves: Man, pregnancy is hard. As a FTM, I think I knew theoretically that pregnancy is not easy, but the reality of it has been eye-opening. I try not to complain, but I have not been having an easy time of it symptom-wise pretty much since the beginning, and I can't believe there's still 18 weeks to go. Very scared of the third trimester at this point, because even 2nd trimester has not been a walk in the park, and if the achiness and insomnia get worse, yikes.

Questions: Has anyone experienced a lot of joint pain in pregnancy? Tips for relieving it?

GTKY: What's a TV show, podcast or book you've been enjoying lately? Or what's one of your favorites of all time?

I'm really happy that the Great British Baking Show is back, as that's one of my favorite comfort watches! We've also just started watching Wednesday and that's been quite good. I love that it's not super serious, just fun and engaging so far with really good acting.

    EDD / Weeks + Days: Jan. 14

    Team blue/pink/green: Pink.

Upcoming Appointments: At the end of the month, I think...

How are you feeling?: The nausea seems to be truly fading, which is wonderful. It's not fully gone, but I'm down to only one or two Zofran a day :) My leg cramps at night have been particularly un-fum, though.

@ahume Sorry about the aches! Do you have someone who can run your joints for you? My husband has fallen into the habit of rubbing my feet while we're putting our two year old to bed, and that's been lovely.

Rants/Raves: I'm so done with the heat, and the cool weather these past two weeks has been amazing. It's supposed to be hot again in the next few days and stay that way for at least a week 😡

    Questions: Nope

GTKY: What's a TV show, podcast or book you've been enjoying lately? Or what's one of your favorites of all time?

I've been bingeing ER recently. I don't know that I'm loving it, but it's been keeping me amused.
  • @marmalade0 glad to hear your nausea is fading, though it sucks that you're also in the leg pain camp! I might have to recruit my husband to do some massaging haha. He tends to be pretty bad at it, but I feel like there might be some weaponized incompetence going on there lol

Agree with you on the hot weather! It's been cool here for a few weeks and I'm just hoping this doesn't mean we're going to get crazy heat later in the month or in October.
  • @ahume131, pregnancy is hard. It's totally okay to complain. I honestly really dislike being pregnant. I didn't enjoy it the first time, and I'm not enjoying it this time. I have a friend who just glows and loves her bump and everything about it. That is 100% the opposite of me. Haha. But both are okay. Our bodies are doing crazy things!

    EDD / Weeks + Days: 1/14/2026 / 22 + 1 (but measuring four days ahead)

    Team blue/pink/green: Blue

    Upcoming Appointments: October 8

How are you feeling?: Like I can't believe that I'm only half way done. Haha. I'm still throwing up randomly. My vision still goes blurry randomly. I also just feel huge!

Rants/Raves: I don't know that I have anything this week. I'm excited for the holiday seasons to start. I do have some anxiety as I don't know what we'll do with my toddler while I'm in labor. We don't have a "village" here and it's hard to predict when it will happen to fly someone in.

    Questions: None

GTKY: What's a TV show, podcast or book you've been enjoying lately? Or what's one of your favorites of all time?

We watch a lot of YouTube because there are short episodes (Smosh, GMM, Dropout). I have't read much since my two year old was born, but would love to get back into it. Typically, once he's in bed, it's time to clean the entire house and I don't find much time to watch movies or read.
  • @ahume131 thanks for posting. Hang in there. I have had pregnancies I enjoyed majority of and some I've sworn I'd never do this again and yet here I am. Hormones make our brains forget so we perpetuate this cycle! Lol it's so worth it, but wow is it not easy.

@kbmt I'll have to look into those. I love podcasts while I clean and work. Thanks for the suggestions.
I tell everyone mom this, but please look into hypnobirthing. It helped me so much in 2020 with the uneasiness of the times and being calm no matter what would happen and having to figure out what to do with kids during. It's not a solution, but it sure helps you to maintain your calm during chaos during labor. I wish I utilized it with my first 2 births.

    FTM/STM/TTM+:  6th

    EDD / Weeks + Days: 21&1

Team blue/pink/green:💙 i have seen the proof.

Upcoming Appointments: just had our Ultrasound and man am I relieved. The doc made me wait 45 minutes to hear the results. I was so worried she would have bad news. She was the same one who gave me the news last time and when she walked it grinning I knew it was all OK.

How are you feeling?: so relieved. My man and I did frolic in the sheets the other day and I had such heaviness down there that I had to call it a night early. I could not be vertical. Wow, that's never happened before. So uncomfortable.

Rants/Raves: my heart is so heavy this week. I am devastated by the attrocties in our news cycle. I can't unsee that video. The world we are raising kids in seems so dark. Filled with evil, vile snakes. The people celebrating make me sick. I can't fathom holding on to such hate for a person who thinks differently than me. Praying for America.

    Questions: anyone doing a babymoon?

GTKY: What's a TV show, podcast or book you've been enjoying lately? Or what's one of your favorites of all time? Platonic. I find myself laughing and I just groove to the songs on it. I also really liked Tires. We watched that recently.
  • Thanks for the support, guys! I appreciate you all and especially the wisdom of those who have gone through this before :)

@kbmt i wish I had any advice about your worries about childcare during labor, but sending good vibes your way all the same

@emeraldmaybythebay I’m with you on feeling heavy this week and sad about the state of the world. It’s a hard place to be bringing a baby into.
