MMC - natural vs. medication vs. d&c

I’m sure this has been discussed here many times before but I just found out that my baby has no heartbeat. I started spotting yesterday at 9wks 4 days and had and emergency ultrasound where they discovered the baby had passed at around 8wks. Now I am faced with the decision of letting it naturally pass vs. medication vs. d&c. All seem to have risks and benefits and I am really struggling at which path to take. I am currently breastfeeding my 1 yr old so this also makes me concerned about taking the medication route. If anyone has any tips or what route was best for them I would love to hear about your experience/what worked best for you. I have heard that going the natural medication route often ends in a d&c anyways but I have also heard that a d&c can put risk to future pregnancies. It sounds so scary and I am having such a hard time navigating it all. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
