    EDD / Weeks + Days: Jan 11 (Jan 4 considering 39 week induction); 19+1

    Team blue/pink/green: not sharing publicly

Upcoming Appointments: have my monthly 15-min check w/ OB this afternoon. AS on 8/25

How are you feeling?: Great! I got my amnio results back last week, and it's all good. So, my anxiety is finally starting to wane, although I'm still not feeling a lot of regular movement (i.e. every day), so that's messing with my head.

Rants/Raves: Can't recall if I mentioned here that I had been off for a medical leave from work for almost 10 months, and I went back 2 weeks ago. I was also onsite last week. TL;DR... it feels great to be back and my clever outfits in the office disguised my bump so no one yet knows that I'm expecting. I'm going onsite again this week, and then I shouldn't need to go back for a while. I have already shared with HR (to trigger job protections)

Questions: I feel like I had one, but now I can't recall so it must not have been very important.

GTKY: what do you do for work? I'm a pretty senior-level program manager in tech. I work in a pretty innovative area, so it's a really exciting gig. I've been with my company for 5.5 years, which speaks to continued interest / engagement.

    EDD / Weeks + Days: 16w6d

    Team blue/pink/green: 🩷

Upcoming Appointments: sep 9, anatomy scan!

How are you feeling?: the round ligament pains have been so bad this time around. i’m constantly having to slow down because i moved way too fast and pulled a ligament. it feels like the sides of my stomach are set on fire. other than that, i’m grateful the morning sickness & fatigue has completely left. 🙌

Rants/Raves: rave - we’ve recently started our 3rd year of homeschooling! it’s been going so good. my two small babies have been distracted or napping while we do school so that’s helped make it easier. also, i really thought my son was gonna be so rusty after restarting, but to my surprise his reading actually improved over summer break!

Questions: has anyone ever worn a belly band for round ligament pains and felt relief after wearing it? my dr recommended i started looking into getting one but i’ve never worn one and i feel like it’ll be uncomfortable having something tight under my belly.

GTKY: what do you do for work? i’m a sahm 🥰

  • @littlebabybuster I never wore a belly band, but KT tape (kinesiology) worked wonders for nearly everything throughout pregnancy. There are tutorials online on where to place it. That stuff is amazing. 🙌
We homeschool too. What curriculum do you use or do you ala carte it? We start our coop soon. As well as speech and debate groups. I love hearing what people do for school for more ideas. 😊 good luck this year!!!

@acleverusername how was going back to work? I was wondering how it was going and completely forgot to ask.

    EDD / Weeks + Days: 17.5

Upcoming Appointments: just had my 1st midwife. Head the heartbeat! 🧡 had to postponed my anatomy screen so we could go visit my Gran. My last anatomy scan rocked my world. So I'm very anxious and won't believe any of this is possible until then. 🤞

How are you feeling?: really good just some headaches. After 2 weeks of puking and then a respiratory bug running through the fam, man was I happy to come out of it in my 2nd trimester and some extra energy. Soaking it up while it lasts. Haha it never lasts! 🤭

Rants/Raves: currently watching Platonic on Apple and I've been really enjoying it. It's a nice "night cap" if you will. Anyone else have any good show recommendations. I like to make a list and save up for subscriptions for right before baby comes and I have all the late night entertainment needed!

    Questions: see above! ☝️

GTKY: what do you do for work? We own our own contracting company. I'll go more indepth of what it all entails if we do get to a more private setting. I am usually at home, do my normal hour or so in the morning before the kids rise and then about 2 or 3 hours at night while they sleep. Also answer the phones throughout the day and deal with any of those fun business calls with banks and insurance, etc. Sometimes I have to go out in the field. On those days sometimes the kids are with us, often times it is me and my husband solo and it feels like a date. When I go by myself, I take myself out for lunch and go to a store or 2 I don't like going to with my kids. I homeschool and keep house and animals as well. My boys are at that point they are very helpful and even though life is crazier, it's getting easier because of teamwork. I feel so lucky to be on this path with my people.

@acleverusername, I'm glad you got positive results and are feeling a little less anxious. I feel like anxiety lasts the full pregnancy, but it's nice when you can turn it down a bit.

@littlebabybuster, good luck with the ligament pain and let us know if a band or tape helps. I've experienced it quite a bit, but usually just when quickly standing up from sitting on the floor or something. Luckly, it's not super often.

    FTM/STM/TTM+: STM

    EDD / Weeks + Days: 19 weeks

    Team blue/pink/green: Blue

Upcoming Appointments: OB follow-up on 8/29 and anatomy scan on 9/10

How are you feeling?: It's been rough. I've been experiencing migraine auras for the past nine days. Essentially, I haven't been able to see clearly out of my right eye. The checked my Ferritin levels, which was quite low so they believe I am iron deficient. I'm taking lots of supplements and meds right now. We'll do more blood work in a couple weeks to determine if I'll need iron infusions. I've also been super tired recently.

Rants/Raves: My son moved up to a new preschool room and is really struggling. He's uncomfortable with the new teachers and students and doesn't want to go anymore. It's been a rough transition so far, but I'm hoping it's just a short phase. My rave is that my dance troupe just kicked off again. It will be nice to get into a routine of dancing each week, and I'm excited to perform in November.

    Questions: None at this time.

GTKY: what do you do for work? I'm a Creative Director / Design Strategist for a fintech company within the financial industry. A design tools and websites for wealth management, brokerage, and media firms.
  • @emeraldmaybythebay that’s interesting! i’ll look into it, i actually feel tape would be more comfortable than the band. i’ll have to give it a try.

we’re catholic and decided to go with a faith based curriculum. we use catholic heritage curricula 😊 our co-op also starts soon & we’re so excited!

@kbmt for a couple of days it felt like it calmed down a bit. i’ve figured out ways to roll around in bed to avoid it from hurting! i feel like those hot dogs at gas stations, i have to roll slow. 🤦‍♀️ my sister swears by the belly band & says she still has hers from a previous pregnancy! i’ll try it out and report back 🫡

@littlebabybuster The tape is so comfortable. I hope it works. Toward the end I live in it. Lol and my belly gets hairy while pregnant (TMI) so taking it off is not fun if I don't oil myself up! 😅 a little PSA!

I'll have to look up that curriculum. I grew up Catholic. Good principles to build on. They enjoyed their 1st day so much. They have lockers and thar was a BIG deal!.😅
