Everything Maternity

Anyone have must have maternity shorts and/or dresses they absolutely couldn't do without? Feel free to share the links, pls! I am so bloated I know I have to start putting away some of my shorts now and would prefer to be in something with a bit more stretch which would be more comfortable for me right now. TIA!

  • @knottie166ecb5ee30e4ac6 thank you! Going to check them out right now.

  • Honestly, biker shorts were my best friend. I got a few maternity ones from amazon that I paired with oversized tees. Easy and comfy for around the house or errands.
  • I got a pair of Madewell and Abercrombie maternity jeans today at an "upscale resale" place (Ditto, if those are a nationwide chain) and WOW while the retail value of the Madewell is $$$, these are fantastic! I don't normally like the "under the belly" style but they fit well and stay in place. The Abercrombie ones are so comfortable too.
  • My last baby was during Covid so I lived in leggings…I’m not sure what I’m going to do this time around since I got rid of all official maternity clothes years ago! 😭

  • I just pulled out my maternity wardrobe and all my stuff for 3rd trimester is summer stuff. So I’ll have to buy some things to get me through the winter here. Funny thing is, even though I live in Alaska we hardly wear jackets unless we are staying outside. Walking to and from the car at 10 degrees maybe a cardigan. I do want more than just short sleeves through. 😅 I will definitely need stuff if we drop below zero several times this season.
  • Anyone get a pregnancy pillow yet? I had that big bulky C pregnancy pillow with my first, and my husband hated it, and I got annoyed with it after a while too because it kept falling off the bed. I've been taking a look at that small bump pillow that just supports belly and back. Anyone use this type before and prefer it?

I never bought a big pillow my last pregnancy because I had a hunch it would make me claustrophobic. I have this pillow combo that I really like personally. The long part is for your legs and if I flip over to my other side I use the second small pillow between my knees. I’m also typically a back sleeper so this helps me feel like I can sleep on my back but keeps me  propped up just enough to feel safe

@midnightatsunset I finally ordered the pillow, I was in between several but I actually landed on this recommendation- so thank you! It arrives tomorrow and I'm eager to receive it and try it out. The groin pain started the last two weeks or so, and I think my first baby I was gifted one earlier than this point and never really noticed this type of pain until later!
  • @blossomingmama oh yay! I hope it works out for you! I really love that it can be configured a couple different ways depending on how you prefer to sleep. I’ve been using mine again for a couple weeks already to help keep me from rolling to my back and to support my knees.
  • I totally feel you! Once the bloating starts, you just wanna be in something super stretchy and comfy. The two things I absolutely couldn’t do without were a good pair of maternity leggings and a comfy maternity bra. I'm a work-from-home mum, and I practically lived in them during my pregnancy - I super loved the comfort they bring.
