Timing/Testing/CS: we plan to just go EOD this cycle well past my temp shift to cover all bases this cycle.

How are things going? Any questions?: My period hasn’t been too bad. Usually days 1 and 2 are super heavy and I was worried because we’re still at theme parks. Finding bathrooms isn’t always easy in those places.

R/R: I’m burnt and tired. We hit universal 2 days, Disneyland, San Diego Zoo, Sea World, and Legoland. We are all exhausted and yesterday I felt like I got too much sun exposure and started feeling sick.

GTKY: What has been your most memorable vacation. Disney has always been a favorite for me. I got drunk on Disney this week and was wishing we had gone 2 days instead of one. When we come back we may just do a week at Disney so we can see everything. We missed the new Star Wars section.

    WAYDTGKU (BD/TI/IVF/FET/Benched/etc.): TI

    WTO/TWW: WTO

Timing/Testing/CS: On CD 15, ovulation seems like it's going to be pretty late for me which is unusual. I'm just starting to get the EWCM so it'll probably happen soon.

How are things going? Any questions?: Things are ok. Work has been hyper stressful so I'm having trouble taking any time for myself. I keep forgetting to say hello on here, hope you're all doing well.

    R/R: Rave: TW, LC mentioned
My little one has started peeing on the potty before bed! Very exciting. He doesn't respond well at all to pushing new patterns on him, so we just modeled, read books, and patiently kept offering and tonight he actually asked us to put him on the toilet and he peed. Yay for progress!

GTKY: What has been your most memorable vacation.
Probably Disneyland. I'm a Disney nut, I can easily spend a week there or at Disney world and be happy.
  • WAYDTGKU (BD/TI/IVF/FET/Benched/etc.): Matching phase for embryo adoption

    WTO/TWW: WTO (CD 1)

    Timing/Testing/CS: Nothing right now

How are things going? Any questions?: Still waiting to hear back from the clinic about our embryo match. I was hoping to hear back by now, but hopefully before the end of the week

R/R: On vacation right now with extended family and my BIL got sick and now my mom seems to have gotten it, so all the rest of us are just hoping we don’t get it too. Other than that, we are having fun though!

GTKY: What has been your most memorable vacation.
For my high school graduation gift, my grandma and my mom and I went to Ireland and London and that was really fun.
  • @ferret22 I talk DH we needed to just spend a week doing everything at Disney so I could see the entire park and not just half of it. Honestly, we saw half but didn’t experience it because the lines were too long. Disney World is on my list but I want to save for that and make some big plans. I want to stay at one of the resorts and have dinner at the Castle. DH wants to do water parks which I have zero interest in. I told him he could do the water park without whoever wanted to join him and then I could hit the park with the rest. 😅

Potty training can be so stressful. I used to get so crazy about it. Any success in that department always seems like such a huge step forward. I will say, the more kids I have had the easier it has gotten. My older kids pretty much potty trained my last kiddo. They were little cheerleaders and would be asking if they had to go potty and if they did they would take them. I was just in the background supervising. 😜

@britters314 I’m surprised it is taking so long for them to approve this embryo. Seems like it was a faster process last time. I hope this is the one and y’all can move forward to the next steps. We have considered going abroad but the costs are prohibitive right now. If we did it as a cruise it would be doable.
  • I'm sorry I just joined here and have no idea what any of these acronyms mean. I am a nurse and feel like I am getting some mixed up with medical acronyms so it is very confusing lol. Are you able to explain the ones you use?

There is a thread at the top of the board titled newbie guide and it has a list of all the acronyms and what they mean.

Also, you should change your username so it’s easier for us to tag you and remember who you are, and feel free to introduce yourself in the intro thread!
  • @emeraldcity603 Yeah last time they only took about a week and it’s been two weeks now, but the agency said sometimes clinics take up to six weeks to get back. I might reach out to the clinic after Memorial Day if I don’t hear anything by then

    DH is dear husband
    BD is baby dance
    WTO is waiting to ovulate
    TWW is two week wait
    DPO is days past ovulation.
im not sure what some of the other ones are for the first question. IVF is self explanatory. Benched means that you sat out that cycle so no sex in the fertile window.

Also, there is a thread at the top of this board that is for newbies to read through that has all the acronyms and explanations of how this board runs/works.

It will be easier for us to interact with you if you change your username to something more recognizable than knottienumbers.

Welcome to the board. I hope your stay is short!
  • im not sure what some of the other ones are for the first question.
WAYDTGKU is what are you doing to get knocked up
TI is timed intercourse (usually meaning taking fertility meds and being monitored and the doctor tells you when to BD)
    FET is frozen embryo transfer
  • @britters314 I knew it had to do with stuff like that but I just don’t know all the terminology for it. Thanks!

Oh lol, I guess I had the acronyms wrong in my head too and I read the newbie guide when I first joined. I'm not on fertility meds yet but was using TI since we LH test to find the right time. We're not doing the every other day kind of BD thing.
  • @ferret22 We definitely aren’t being legalistic about what’s TI vs just BD, so nbd
  • Thank you so much! I am trying to figure out how to change my username now, hopefully I can get it all figured out
