Period confusion

Hi everyone, I have had 6 children. After my last i had my fallopian tubes removed. For the last few months my periods have been odd. My current period has started but it was 17 days late and the week that my period was supposed to start I had pain in my abdomen that were not period cramps. Now my bleeding is pretty heavy and along with period cramps I get a dull ache in my lower abdomen on the left side that comes and goes and can be really strong, I also have an occasional stabbing pain on the right side of my stomach.

I have a doctor's appointment set but it's a week away. I have taken a few pregnancy tests as well all negative so far but I'm going to test again. The last test I took did show a second line but only after altering a photo of the test.
