How are things going? Any questions?: Good. TW: someone else’s pregnancy mentioned

We got together with another couple over the weekend and could clearly see the wife was pregnant. Turns out they did embryo adoption as well and with the same agency as us! It was really nice to be able to talk to other people who are doing the same thing. They also previously adopted from foster care so they were even doing it for the same reasons as us. And, for the first time, I was able to actually be fully happy for someone else’s pregnancy, which was a really nice feeling. They also said they would be praying for us which made us realize we probably need more people praying for us so we reached out to some people at church. Hopefully more prayer will mean a better match next time!

R/R: It’s going to be 80 degrees today! I was thinking I might head to the beach, though the water will probably still be freezing so we’ll see

  • @britters314 I’m so glad you had a good time with that couple. Prayer can be a powerful thing. I’m glad you have the church and close friends praying for your next embryo. I have also been praying for you and your relative who recently had surgery. I hope she is doing well in recovery.

Timing/Testing/CS: just doing EOD right now until after ovulation.

How are things going? Any questions?: I got a pretty dark OPK. Nothing close to a peak but it was much darker than I thought it would be. I’m only on CD9 so I’m hoping this means my body is going to gear up for ovulation like it’s suppose to and not make me wait forever.

R/R: We have a busy week. I need to pack for our California vacation and we have a backpacking trip right after we get back. I have one day to recover and then we start hiking out to a cabin. Should be fun but I need to pack for both trips before we leave for the first trip. I’m exhausted just thinking about it.

  • @emeraldcity603 Thank you! And yes, my sister is doing well with her recovery now!

@britters314 I’m so glad you had that time with someone who has a similar experience to yours. What a blessing to have so many people praying over you and your family!

    Timing/Testing/CS: O

How are things going? Any questions?: Today is CD18, and I usually O on CD15, but FF gave me crosshairs yesterday for CD10. We ended up BD around that time anyways, so it wasn’t a total miss, but I’m still irritated and feel like my body tricked me. Lesson learned, I’ll start OPKs at CD5 again next cycle. I figure my cycle is still regulating after coming off BC in January.

R/R: My friend gifted me her Tempdrop and I’ve been using it for the past week— complete game changer. I feel like I’m sleeping better, maybe because I don’t have the anxiety of taking BBTs at a certain time? I have been doing both oral and Tempdrop readings since I didn’t want to change anything up in the middle of my cycle but they seem pretty consistent.
  • @aloha_mama Tempdrop is amazing. Although, I hate their app. I also turn off the automatic interpretations because it never confirms my ovulation and I have no clue why. I can chart mucus every day of the cycle. My temp can shoot up an entire degree and stay there the entire LP and nothing from Tempdrop. I don’t typically rely on apps to interpret my charts so I have never worried about why it doesn’t. Anyways, I’m glad you’re enjoying using it. It does simplify the temping routine a lot.

@emeraldcity603 I’ve heard the same complaints about the Tempdrop app from a few people.. I use it to sync but I enter all my data into Fertility Friend, which I’ve used for about 10 years now and love. I try not to let it completely interpret my cycles for me but it’s definitely useful to confirm suspicions or guide me to accurate timing!
  • Update for me: we got another match! At first glance it looks like it could be a good match, but we’ll have to look over all the details more before we decide

@britters314 Either way, that’s exciting news!
  • @britters314 FX this is the one!
  • @britters314 fingers crossed for you!!!

Timing/Testing/CS: Like, -3. I practically benched myself this cycle.

How are things going? Any questions?: This cycle was basically a wash and I’m ok with that.

R/R: it’s supposed to be nice weather this weekend and it’s the first weekend in forever where my husband and I don’t have anything work related. Yahoo!
  • @fifilala516 we have had a few beautiful sunny days here and it has been so hard to come inside and do adult tasks.

My OPKs are finally getting positive. I wasn’t expecting for my cycle to be this prompt with ovulation. Last time it took forever to ovulate after my chemical. I am using a few different apps and it’s been interesting watching the app prediction change with my OPK data. Surprisingly, it’s lining up nicely.
