This baby was a total oopsie. But I am so excited! My 48 year old husband is still trying to wrap his head around things.
In December of 2024 I was in the hospital for a week with bi-lateral pulmonary embolisms and a DVT in my leg. So I was taken off birth control and imagine that, I got pregnant. Not even out of the woods with my pulmonary embolisms. I’m on blood thinners twice a day. I also have a lower left lobe that died during my PE’s. So on top of not breathing very well, I’m a nervous wreck.
I had my first appointment a couple weeks ago and am being referred 4 hours away to a perinatal specialist. The baby looked good and had a strong heartbeat. If anyone has any similar stories, I’d love to hear them. I need reassurance! ❤️

  • I’m 38; I’ve had had 3 miscarriages due to autoimmune issues; so with that and my age I’m considered high risk. I’m very excited because I’ve tried several rounds of IVF thinking that would provide better control over my health issues but they all failed. We got pregnant naturally and had to follow an immunologist closely during the first trimester and had to do certain treatments. 6 months along now and all have been going well! Sending well wishes your way!!!
