10 Month Old Up Every Two Hours

edited April 20 in June 2024 Moms
Hi! My sweet little bub is up every two hours or so. A lot of times it’s to eat. I’ve done so much research and he is most likely getting too many calories at night but he is legitimately hungry. I still feed him every two hours during the day at 5 ounces and upped food three times a day. He doesn’t always take the full bottle but I know that’s normal given I’ve introduced food.

My pediatrician recommends doing a cry it out or a gentler form of sleep training but that just doesn’t work for me. No judgement, being a mama is hard. Just trying to find a solution that works for us. I’ve tried safe co-sleeping as well. There will be random nights where he gives long stretches so I know it’s possible. I’m just wondering if it’s his temperament and he will do it when he’s ready.

Anyone have something similar? Maybe there’s something else I can try. I keep reading he will magically sleep but ya know what, he just may not. 😂

  • Also, I watch his wake windows during the day (3-3.5), takes two naps and I don’t let either go over two hours.
  • Loading the player...
  • Keep nights super boring- dim lights, no talking, no diaper change unless it’s absolutely needed. The goal is to send the message that nighttime isn’t playtime or social time.

  • We had nights like that too. Eventually I started gently spacing out feeds little by little and that helped. Nothing harsh, just a few extra minutes here and there. It’s so hard but you’re not alone.
