Re: TFAS w/o March 17

  • What number are you trying for? 3

    Month/Cycle? Stopped counting

    WTO/TWW? WTO

    Ages of other child(ren)? 7.5 and 6.5

Any thoughts about this cycle? We aren’t really trying this cycle since we are waiting on embryos

    Any questions? Nope

Rant/Rave? Last week the kids had no school (I homeschool and we do a year-round schedule so we have random weeks off) and it was so perfect because it was the one week in March with the best weather, so I timed that out well. It’s also nice to get back to a schedule this week though.

GTKY: What was your favorite subject in school?
English, which is funny because then I ended up majoring in Physics in college and becoming a math and science teacher

  • Month/Cycle? 3

    WTO/TWW? TWW

Ages of other child(ren)? They range from 22-18 months

Any thoughts about this cycle? Just another bust! I’m so frustrated. I even got a line on one test yesterday outside of the timeframe that really messed with my head. I’m the queen of indents I guess. 🤦🏻‍♀️

    Any questions? None

Rant/Rave? I have mixed feelings about the snow. Everything was already melted and the roads fully clear. Now we have 6 inches of snow on the ground. I’m not sure I’ll get a chance to ski because of scheduling conflicts with our sitter and DH’s work schedule. I need to get the kid’s some skis so I can just take them all with me.

GTKY: What was your favorite subject in school? I have always liked science. I ended up majoring in kinesiology with a minor in biology and chemistry. Then I got a masters in molecular biology. As soon as I graduated I promptly became a SAHM.

@britters314 I started homeschooling my oldest when I was working on my masters. All my other kids have been homeschooled since the beginning. I love it! So much freedom and honestly, I’m not sure I could relinquish control of my kid’s education to a stranger. I would be the most annoying parent all up in the teacher’s business. 🤦🏻‍♀️
  • @aisleofviewtwo @emeraldcity603 Heyyyyyy fellow homeschoolers! Never meant to homeschool but here we are, been homeschooling my 4th grader since the beginning and we love it.

What number are you trying for? #3

    Month/Cycle? 3

WTO/TWW? WTO… BFN yesterday and then my period showed up today.

Ages of other child(ren)? 9 and 2 (3 in April)

Any thoughts about this cycle? I knew it was a throwaway since DH was gone FW but was still hopeful that, since my cycles are irregular, maybe there was a sneaky O day? Nope.

    Any questions? Nah

Rant/Rave? My 2yo painted herself with bright red nail polish yesterday and I had to explain to the gym child watch people that if they see any red spots, it’s polish and not some contagious disease. Why are toddlers?

GTKY: What was your favorite subject in school? English— I wanted to be a book editor for a long time but ended up in nursing school. Oh, well.
  • @aloha_mama I also wanted to be a book editor when I was younger!

Also, yay for other homeschoolers! I had debated whether to homeschool or not. My oldest was meant to start pre-k in 2020 and I wasn’t about to do virtual pre-k, so I tested out homeschooling and we ended up sticking with it!
  • @britters314 During 2020 people would ask if we were covid homeschoolers and I found myself saying, “no we are the regular kind.” 😂😂😂 That was a first!!
  • What number are you trying for? 2

Month/Cycle? Who knows, this question bums me out now lol

    WTO/TWW? WTO

    Ages of other child(ren)? 2.5

Any thoughts about this cycle? Starting a new cycle, hopefully one of these will stick. We've had good timing lately.

    Any questions? None

    Rant/Rave? Rave, TW LC:
I'm so excited bc my little guy peed on the toilet for the first time! It was so cool and I'm sure I'm being a dork for being so excited but I'm thrilled.

GTKY: What was your favorite subject in school?
All of it, I loved school when I was a little kid. 😂 It's a shame bc I'm having a much harder time learning as an adult. Wish I could keep the enthusiasm and memory I had when I was younger lol.
  • What number are you trying for? 2

Month/Cycle? This was our 3rd intentional cycle

    WTO/TWW? WTO...CD1. Boo.

    Ages of other child(ren)? 3

Any thoughts about this cycle? I am almost positive I got the timing right this cycle, but given this and last cycle with its really short luteal phase (about a week each time), I am thinking I need to talk to my doctor to get a panel and see if I need progesterone supplements.

    Any questions? None

Rant/Rave? We're taking our daughter to the theater this weekend and I am really excited about it - but I am also a little worried she'll get antsy, bored, etc.

GTKY: What was your favorite subject in school? English and creative writing - and as I got older, history. I ended up majoring in Media Studies in college.
  • @fifilala516 I’m CD1 today too. 😕 Writing is something I loath! Getting words from my brain to the paper is always a struggle. I’d rather sit through a 2 hour lecture on organic chemistry. 😅
  • @fifilala516 She’s 3 so she won’t sit the whole time! But it’ll still be an awesome experience. I usually sit in the aisle in case I need to make a quick exit or she can just get up and dance around. My 2yo is a runner, though, so I still don’t bring her a lot of places like that— we did Disney On Ice by myself with them last year and I wanted to die but they had fun so I guess that’s a win? I’m sure you have experience in this area but just wanted to chime in with solidarity. It’s hard!

@ferret22 Omg we are potty training too— I think we’re done???— and it’s so exciting! I love how proud they are when they go in the potty.

@britters314 @emeraldcity603 This was our story, too— my oldest was due to start kindergarten amidst Covid lockdowns and I was  thinking, park her in front of a computer and try to get a 5yo to focus on classes, or just teach her myself? No brainer for me. It’s been great to have the flexible schedule and we’ve been able to travel a lot more than we would have if we relied on school holidays. We also only do school 4 days a week so it’s fun to have Fridays off. We’ll see what happens with my 2yo…
  • @ferret22 that’s so exciting!! You and him must be so proud! Potty training is awful - it took me 3 separate tries to train my daughter and she still refuses to poop on it.

@aloha_mama Yeah we’ve been to other shows before and she’s been pretty good but I always worry since this one is a longer one, and while I’m sure there will be other kids it’s not specifically geared towards toddlers. We’ll see.
  • @fifilala516 It was so funny, I think he was as surprised and excited as I was when he peed. I've just been putting him on the toilet a few times a day to get him used to it, wasn't expecting any real progress yet lol. We have yet to repeat the experience but we'll keep trying! 😂
