    Timing/Testing/CS: -4, -3….yeah, are we actually trying? 🫠

How are things going? Any questions?: BFN so far. Maybe my count is off since my temp shift was delayed. Maybe it wasn’t delayed. I’m just being hopeful. My temperature did shoot up to 99.03 this morning which is pretty high. I took PdG tests and maybe I was taking them too early but I only got 1 positive before I ran out. I made a call to my midwife and they got me some progesterone suppositories to try next cycle. I’m also supposed to start them if I get a positive test.

R/R: we have had second winter this week. We got more snow in 2 days than we have all year. If I’m not pregnant I want to go ski. Maybe I could go do that one evening since my in-laws are in town this week. I need to go on an easier trail again since I ate it on a hill last time. I need to get some confidence. 😅

Timing/Testing/CS: So I am almost certain my EWCM I had last week was a late O (CD21) because while I stopped testing on Inito and never got an LH surge, I did test a few days following that and my pdG did rise significantly. So I am hoping we got the timing right then.

How are things going? Any questions?: It's OK. My husband isn't as "gung ho" about a second child as I am - don't get me wrong, he would be happy and excited if I were pregnant but he was an only child and would be perfectly fine if we just had our daughter. We talk about this a lot but it annoys me when our daughter is being difficult or waking up early or what have you, and he goes, "and you want another one?" (I think I am painting a negative picture of him but I assure you he IS on board with this).

R/R: It's supposed to be beautiful here the next few days. We're also entering the really busy season for my husband's work (and mine, kinda) which means a lot of late nights and go, go, go - it's nice to be busy but the calendar is daunting.
  • WAYDTGKU (BD/TI/IVF/FET/Benched/etc.): BD

WTO/TWW: TWW (sorta, we know we totally missed O day/week so we’re just waiting for the next cycle to start)

Timing/Testing/CS: See above, DH was gone that week so this cycle was a wash.

How are things going? Any questions?: As expected, I suppose… Since coming off BC my cycles have been wonky so just doing my best tracking all the things with FF. I also have extremely irregular sleep so FF always gives me those nice little triangles with my temps.

R/R: Getting back in the swing of things with TTC, trying not to let the numbers and stuff mess with my mental health too much (I have the tendency to obsess over every tiny little thing). We had a huge storm over the weekend but yesterday was beautiful so we took the opportunity to get our yard looking nice for spring. I transplanted a huge basil I had been growing on my counter all winter but then the temperature dropped last night and it looks sad out there! Sorry, buddy.
  • @fifilala516 That’s so hard when your enthusiasm isn’t matched. Hopefully he gets more excited soon!

@emeraldcity603 Where do you live? Skiing sounds awesome to me in theory but I get cold like 5 minutes out the door lol

    WTO/TWW: WTO (CD 10)

    Timing/Testing/CS:

How are things going? Any questions?: We just got a new match! We are still looking over all the info to decide if we want to accept, so I’ll probably give an update later this week about it.

R/R: It was 80 degrees a few days ago and then snowed yesterday. This is why spring is my least favorite season lol
  • @fifilala516 I totally understand what you’re describing about your husband. I feel like that’s been my husband during our TTC journey through the years. He is always overjoyed about our babies but when we both get overwhelmed he would make comments similar to your husband. This is the first time he has been the one initiating us TTC again. He actually told me he was trying to find a way to talk to me about it for awhile. I was so confused because I’m all about the babies. 🤪

@aloha_mama Alaska! I’m from Alabama though. So I prefer warmer temps. I get outside because my best friend forces me too. She convinced me to start cross country skiing. Now she is pressuring me to downhill ski. My husband does that but I’m scared of heights and I’m not sure I could handle the lifts. Getting good gear is key to being outside. I take hikes at -20 during the colder months up. We even toured a glacier at -30 last year. It was amazing and I stayed very toasty because I used heated body warmers under my gear.

@britters314 I’m so happy for you! That was so fast! Hopefully each step is smooth and the clinic accepts this one! I’m jealous of your 80 degree temps. We rarely ever get that high. We are only in second winter. We have 1 more fake spring and 3rd winter before we get to actual spring.

    Timing/Testing/CS: N/A

How are things going? Any questions?: Y'all, it's been a week. My RE—the only one on staff at our clinic—put in her two weeks' notice. I learned about it in a cold, generic, horribly unhelpful email from the company just a week before our scheduled initial cycle visit (this Thursday 3/20). Sounds like the staff was as taken aback by her departure as I was 😳 The good news is that they're going to have the CMO manage care remotely and then fly in as needed for procedures. We have a meet and greet with her on Wednesday. I'm telling myself it's really an upgrade, and hey, free second opinion. Wish us luck!

R/R: I finally got the ball rolling on our kitchen remodel and I toggle daily between ecstatic it's happening and horrified that we may have picked the worst possible time to launch a home improvement project 🙃
  • @emeraldcity603 Oh, no way! We just moved to NE Alabama in October. We love it so far— it’s snowed twice so we were pretty excited to experience that for the first time. It melted after like 24 hours so that was perfect for me. I’ve never been to Alaska but it’s on my list, it looks so surreal and beautiful!

@britters314 I know I’m brand new here but that is such exciting news!

@aisleofviewtwo Our house is a bit of a fixer-upper and it drives me insane. We have bigger projects that need to be done and I know I’ll love it when they’re finished but the disorganization and the MESS are what gets me! At least you’ll be busy!
  • @aisleofviewtwo My husband just pulled up all our flooring in the dining room and put some new flooring down. He is almost done and I was so worried he would drag it out. We need to do the living room and basement but I’m hesitant because it’s such a mess to live like that for too long.
  • @emeraldcity603 I’m glad you understand what I meant! I am not outdoorsy in the slightest but I’ve ALWAYS wanted to go to Alaska. Bucket list for sure!
  • @emeraldcity603 The 80 degree day definitely wasn’t normal for this time of year, but the past few years we’ve been getting random 70-80 degree days in February or March and everyone gets so excited but idk why we are getting so excited about global warming lol. I do make sure to get outside and take advantage of it though!

@aisleofviewtwo That sucks to lose the doctor you’ve been working with, but I’m glad the clinic at least has a plan and that you’re looking on the bright side of things
  • BFN again today. I’m for sure out. DH thinks our timing needs to be closer to O day. So onto next cycle. I have been going back and forth about benching this next cycle so I don’t have a December baby but it’s taking longer to conceive and I don’t want to bench unnecessarily. I have the progesterone ready for next cycle and I plan to start that as soon as I confirm
    ovulation via BBT.

@fifilala516 I think it's so easy to get overwhelmed by the idea of big life changes, babies or otherwise, especially when our lives seem filled to the brim as is. It def doesn't mean those big life changes aren't wanted! But I'm also definitely guilty of blowing my husband's off-hand remarks like that out of proportion, so this is a real do as I say not as I do moment  :D However you're feeling, this is a safe space to vent about even the most loving and well-intentioned partners.
@aloha_mama Since your cycles have been wonky recently it seems like it probably is a good idea to track, but try to remember it's really meant to be used holistically to reveal broad patterns. If you find yourself obsessing about little things, you might try limiting yourself to just tracking key indicators or portions of the cycle. For example, once I knew my LP was a normal length I moved to just temping from FW to the temp shift that confirmed ovulation because I was making myself crazy analyzing every little temp change in the TWW.
@emeraldcity603 Kudos to your husband for DIY-ing it! I consider myself a crafty and detail-oriented person, but when it comes to house-sized projects I'm paralyzed by fear of making a mistake and ruining things. So I've had to take the save up and bring in the professionals approach. Not excited for the 8-10 weeks we won't have a working kitchen this summer/fall but def relieved all the planning and follow-through (not my strength) won't be weighing on me.
@britters314 Yay for a new match! I hope this one turns out to be the perfect fit for your family <3
  • @aisleofviewtwo Great advice, thank you! I would love a break from temping. It’s not my favorite. I’m definitely using FF as a guide and not an extremely accurate insight into my cycle, just to get an idea for FW since I’m not regular.

    WTO/TWW: WTO

Timing/Testing/CS: Aunt Flo just arrived a couple days ago, booo!

How are things going? Any questions?: Things are ok. I was really bummed this cycle start, had my hopes up a little when I didn't have my normal period cramps and was a day late. Def feeling the time pressure and am trying to be patient. I scheduled a therapist appointment this week and will need to talk about All The Things. 😂

    R/R:
  • @ferret22 I would have had my hopes up of my period was a day late. What a cruel joke for your body to play! I’m sorry, I hope the next cycle we all get a BFP.

WAYDTGKU (BD/TI/IVF/FET/Benched/etc.): IUI on 3/20.  Last IUI in October was unsuccessful.

    WTO/TWW: TWW (day 1)

    Timing/Testing/CS:

How are things going? Any questions?:
    Trying to be patient

Last cycle in October I had 2 follicles left 21 and right 26.3. My lining was thin though so they put me on Etrace.  Post wash was 11.14 million and the cycle was unsuccessful.

This cycle, I went in for monitoring on Tuesday and RE noticed 4 follicles on left between 13-16 mm and lining 9mm.  Went back the next morning for monitoring.  Follies were 27, 26, 18 and 17. Triggered that night.  Went in for IUI the next morning. Post wash was 23 million (double from last cycle), which was double from last cycle.  The nurse had pointed out the color they assigned me (seafoam green) matched my nails.  A sign?  Tried not to get excited.  Anyway, playing the wait game and not trying not to think about it too much has been challenging.

Update for me: There were some technical difficulties with emailing over all the files for the info on the placing family, so we haven’t made a decision if we are accepting the match, but we finally received all the info today so we’ll probably take the weekend to decide!

Edit: also FX for everyone currently in the TWW!
  • @mrich82 FX for you! Those numbers seem great so know you've done all you can and now it's just a wait and see.
