20 weeks maternity photoshoot to early?

Hi! first pregnancy and my husband is starting police academy June but has pre academy with the department mid May so because of this we are taking a babymoon to Hawaii 1st week of May. I really want to do a maternity shoot in Hawaii and especially before my husband has to shave all his hair and beard off. I am already showing a decent amount for being 12 weeks and debating on if I should do our maternity shoot in Hawaii but I will only be 20 weeks.<div>Thank You for your thoughts!</div>

I think this is a personal choice that depends on what you hope they will bring you when you look at them later in life. A photoshoot in Hawaii during your babymoon sounds beautiful. You’ll be noticeably pregnant but you’ll still have a lot of growth left in your pregnancy. If you value memorializing the setting and the celebration of the babymoon over capturing the full body changes you’ll experience in third trimester then you should go for it. Disclaimer - I chose not to get maternity pictures in my first pregnancy and won’t this time either so I may not be the best to give advice on this one!
