Maternity Clothes

Where are you all buying maternity clothes? I’ve bought a few things but I’m already growing out of them and I’m trying not to spend hundreds on a whole new wardrobe. I’ve been wearing a lot of leggings and sweaters as my job is business casual and allows it but spring is coming and I want to have more options.

I know some people get plus sized clothes instead of maternity clothes because of the price but I figured I’d ask here.

I’m New England based and in an area with not too many choices for shopping but we are willing to drive to larger shopping areas close to us and will be going to Maine this weekend so we’ll be near better stores.

Thank you in advance!

Abercrombie has great maternity jeans I have two pairs that I rotated my last pregnancy and am looking to get another pair this time. They're a little pricey but look good and they're very comfy! I've also been trying stitch fix for maternity clothes this time around and have had some good luck with basics, and  it's nice to have someone do the shopping for you. Some things are out of budget but returns are free which is nice and If you do the style quizzes I feel like they always send something you like. Heres a link if your interested https://www.stitchfix.com/invite/x4m4f8s5f9?utm_campaign=InviteReferral&sod=m&som=c&g=w

I've also had some good luck on Poshmark with some Seraphine or pink blush clothes for summer/work. I am also in New England and have been mostly wearing big sweaters thus far but know I will need a completely different wardrobe for June/july

  • @alb3456 Thank you! I will definitely look into those options. They have an Abercrombie in the mall I’ll be near so we’ll swing in there and take a look. And I’ll peek at stitch fix too, it would be really helpful to not have to do the shopping lol

I totally get where you're coming from — maternity clothes can get expensive fast! I’ve found that StyleWe has some great options that don’t break the bank. They have a nice variety of stylish and comfortable pieces, and while they focus on more fashionable pieces, some can work for maternity as well. Plus, if you want to shop online, it’s super convenient.

Since you're in New England, you might also want to check out some of the larger stores in Maine this weekend. They often have maternity sections or plus-sized clothes that can stretch as your bump grows. If you’re looking for specific recommendations, stylewe has a phone number available on their site for any questions you might have!
