Jolting Awake, shortness of breath, sweating at night

edited March 1 in 1st Trimester
I had a normal CBC /iron level. I'm 4 weeks and I literally need to eat every 2 hours. Anyway I keep jolting awake with a feeling that I wasn't breathing or something. The ONLY thing that fixes it, it eating like...beans, meat and I'm making a whole spinach thing at 5am because I don't know how else my body will let me sleep! I also get super hot at night and sweat. This happening to anyone else?

I've been experiencing a lot of that. The night sweats especially. I noticed recently I only jolt awake like that when I'm laying on my back for some reason.

  • hmm, that sounds rough! I remember feeling super hungry all the time in the early weeks, and those night sweats are no joke, tbh.

Just looked it up on the 'Heal Baby Care App' and here's what it says:

"It sounds like you're experiencing some common symptoms during early pregnancy, including increased hunger and night sweats. Eating small, nutrient-dense meals like beans and spinach can help stabilize your blood sugar and may alleviate some of the jolting awake feeling. The sensation of not breathing could be related to anxiety or changes in your body during pregnancy, but it's important to monitor how you're feeling. Have you noticed any specific triggers for the night sweats or the feeling of not breathing?"
