    WTO/TWW: TWW

    Timing/Testing/CS: -4

How are things going? Any questions?: My temps look good. They dropped last cycle around 7DPO. Last cycle was so weird though so I’m hesitant to put much weight with anything on that chart.

R/R: The temps have stayed low which is great. We haven’t had any melting but we also haven’t gotten anymore snow. I have been bummed because I haven’t been able to go skiing at all.

    WTO/TWW: WTO (CD 5)

Timing/Testing/CS: Not trying for any specific timing

How are things going? Any questions?: I’m hoping to hear about a match soon. I’ll probably reach out on Monday to see if I can get an update and find out if anyone has viewed our profile yet

R/R: Just found out all the Joanns locations near me are going to be closing. I’m going to have to check out Michael’s to see if they have the stuff I usually buy.

How are things going? Any questions?: I'm waiting for Inito to confirm ovulation but I definitely had an LH surge and my pdG has been rising so it seems like I did indeed O around Day 15/16, which is way later than I thought I ovulate considering my cycles have been around 25 days the last few months. It's all been super fascinating and eye-opening.

R/R: I am extremely ready for the long weekend, but also wish it would stop sleeting.
  • WAYDTGKU (BD/TI/IVF/FET/Benched/etc.): 2nd Letrozole/cocktail/TI cycle

    WTO/TWW: WTO/CD8

How are things going? Any questions?:  I have a monitoring US and estrogen lab draw a week from today on CD15–which was when I had my +OPK last cycle so we’ll see.  I’m making the decision NOT to do the mucinex around the clock again during FW because my typical CM is wayyy better, and I had to drink so much water with it that I was stressing about missing the LH surge on my OPKs because of dilute urine.

R/R:  I have to take prednisone with ovulation because of elevated NK cells and because I can’t do the infusions due to a soy allergy — they told me I didn’t need to taper off of it but y’all it’s been a ROUGH week with pretty typical symptoms of low cortisol, which happens going cold-turkey off of it 🙃 Another lesson learned, I’ll taper if we aren’t successful this cycle, and hopefully it won’t be this rough again.

  • @britters314 I was told one of the Joanne’s near me isn’t closing but the other one is. It happens to be the better one. I’m going Saturday to buy a bunch of fabric and maybe just get some craft supplies that I may want in the near future.

How does the embryo adoption process work? I’m not familiar with it. I hope yall get a match soon.

@f@fifilala516 I have never heard of this device you’re using. What is the name of it? Inito? I need to read up on it so I can understand how it works.

@virginiaham Does your fertility clinic have you taking the mucinex? Or is that something you decided to add in? I’m sorry you have had a rough week with low cortisol symptoms. Hopefully you can taper from the prednisone with minimal symptoms.
  • @emeraldcity603 It’s done differently depending if you do it through an agency or a fertility clinic. We are doing an agency, so it’s treated a lot like a regular adoption. We made a profile with pictures and information about us. The agency then shares that with families who are placing their remaining embryos for adoption. When a family says yes to us, the agency sends us their profile and family medical history. If everything looks good to us, we say yes and the embryology report gets sent to my fertility doctor, who has to also say yes. Once everyone says yes, we (and the placing family) sign a contract transferring ownership of the embryos to us and saying what level of contract we agree on if any babies are born from the embryos. Then the embryos get shipped to my clinic and we can do a transfer! Last time we were matched in mid-May and did our first transfer in July, so it didn’t take too long
  • @britters314 What kind of contracts are there. By levels do you mean some people would want it to be like an open adoption?
  • @emeraldcity603 It’s a device with a camera and test strips with a QR code. The test strips detect E3G, pdG, LH, and FSH levels in the urine - you insert the strip into the monitor and the app charts it for you. You can also manually enter your BBT. It will confirm ovulation if it detects the pdG rising.
  • @emeraldcity603 The contract is just the legal paperwork to transfer ownership of the embryos. So at that point the embryos are ours and any babies from them would be ours, the placing family can’t change their mind after that point. For the levels of contact, yes that’s basically if it’s open or closed. Some people want no contact or just want to know if any babies are born from the embryos, while some want yearly updates or regular contact. We can give a preference for what we are comfortable with. We personally said we are okay with any level of contact.
  • @britters314 That’s very interesting. I feel like I would want regular updates at least.

I have noticed we are missing a few people on the board. I have been checking the BMB and haven’t seen them.
  • @emeraldcity603 Yeah it has been a bit quieter this week. Several people did get BFNs last week, so maybe some people are just taking a break after getting that news.
  • Well, I’m out this cycle. I’m not really surprised with our timing. It literally looks like a TTA chart instead of TTC. I told DH next cycle we aren’t worrying about where I am in my cycle we are just going to BD every 2-3 days even on days he works.
