Anyone have A Cyst

Hiiii! Pregnancy with #5 and at my dating ultrasound (9weeks 4days) they found a cyst, the tech didn’t seem alarmed. The doctor however called and expressed a risk for torsion based on the size of the cyst. Anyone have a similar experience? Just looking for some stories/ reassurance?

I had one with my first pregnancy and it wasn’t an issue at all, dissolved on its own by my 20 week scan. But my dr was never worried about the size so might have been smaller?

It’s 5cm which i guess means it’s at a spot where it could get bigger or could be completely gone at next ultrasound in 4 weeks

Is it an ovarian cyst or intrauterine?

I had an ovarian cyst with our second and it was pretty big where we debated surgery or waiting. I waited (had 3 MCs before this pregnancy and didn’t want to risk anything) and it thankfully went away. 

For bizarre reference, since I have PCOS and have seen my ovaries countless times, each of my ovaries is about 2.5-3cm, and mine was also a 5cm cyst, so that is pretty big to be hanging on.

I just found out I have a goofball sized cyst on my left ovary. Dr said it should go away by 12 weeks if it is still there he wants to cont to monitor it as it's already causing pain.

I have a 6cm one they discovered at my ultrasound! My doctor mentioned the same potential risks but also that they dont like to do surgery unless they have to. They are going to monitor any potential growth for now and reevaluate if needed. He did mention it’s very common, as well as it seemed to be from my extensive Google searches post appointment 😅 hoping for some shrinking for both of us at the next ultrasound!

I have a 5cm ovarian cyst on the right. My doctor didn’t say anything about it. I just saw it in the ultrasound report. Im not worried as of yet. I told my husband, well now we know the baby came out of my right ovary. lol

Glad to see this thread. I do. In December, just a couple weeks before finding out about pregnancy, found a 10 cm dermoid cyst at er bc I was having bad pain - I think related to it. Dr is saying we should remove. Deciding now it has to be open surgery or if lapro is possible
due to size. Nervous. Wish it wasn’t an issue but I guess it’s better to remove than risk of it being an urgent issue further down the line.

I have one but the ultrasound tech and Dr said it could be an egg that didn’t fully “hatch”
