Timing/Testing/CS: 10dpo BFN, confirming with a blood test tomorrow.

Sigh, it’s probably not me this cycle.

Keeping all things crossed for you @aisleofviewtwo !  What time is your lab draw?

Timing/Testing/CS: As many days as we can. 😅

How are things going? Any questions?: TTC makes CM identification so tricky. That’s my issue right now. So I have been going off of sensation mostly.

R/R: Temps are going back above zero this week. My body is not acclimated to the lower temps we usually have. I’m suppose to go up a mountain with my friends tomorrow to hike a bit. Avalanche risks are lower since we had some subzero temperatures so we are taking advantage. I’m wondering if we will have a late winter and actually get some snow or if it will continue with warm temps and rain and ice. The only silver lining is that all the snow melts fast and we can start our summer adventuring sooner rather than later. I have so many camping trips planned. DH is not particularly happy about it because he would rather not go into nature but we live in Alaska. You have to go outside!

Timing/Testing/CS: beta hCG blood test today 😳

How are things going? Any questions?: Just got home from my blood draw. Feeling cautiously optimistic but the nerves have def set in today after keeping them mostly at bay for the last 1.5 weeks. The clinic usually calls between 1:30-3:30pm in the afternoon so we shall see! If things look like they’re trending positive I anticipate they’ll bring me back for a second beta on Wednesday. You may not hear from me again before then.

R/R: Really hoping I get off this gluten-free, low sugar dietary regimen before Girl Scout cookies season passes me by 😋 They were out in full force this weekend and the temptation was just ugh!
  • @aisleofviewtwo and @virginiaham FX for your blood tests!

Timing/Testing/CS: Pretty much as much as we can until my husband leaves for his work trip. I am thinking maybe we'll get lucky (no pun intended) with timing. Could be wishful thinking.

How are things going? Any questions?: OK here. I have this annoying pain in my side that sometimes radiates to my back. I should probably get it checked out but it isn't that painful by any stretch. I shouldn't be so lazy.

R/R: Rant that it's Monday and we got a significant snowfall last night that we didn't seem to be prepared for. I live in NYC (the 5 boroughs) so it'll be cleaned up quickly but it was a little treacherous this morning, especially drop off at preschool. Rave is that my MIL made a huge thing of nachos for me to have all week when my husband is away so I don't really have to think about cooking. I love nachos.
  • @fifilala516 Tell me more about these nachos that stay good all week! I need them in my life 🤩
  • FX for everyone testing!

WAYDTGKU (BD/TI/IVF/FET/Benched/etc.): BD and waiting for a match for embryo adoption

    WTO/TWW: TWW (9dpo)

Timing/Testing/CS: -5, -1. I probably won’t test unless AF is late. I don’t think I even have any tests in the house right now anyway lol

How are things going? Any questions?: Things are good right now. Hoping we hear soon about a match though!

R/R: Finally everyone in the house seems to be better or on the mend! That cold was just never-ending lol. Luckily I wasn’t hit too bad, but my cough kept making it hard to sleep
  • @aisleofviewtwo Literally just a huge aluminum tray of nachos. You can freeze them but I just eat nachos all week long, even after it probably goes bad.
  • @britters314 I have had a cough for a month now. Every time I got hit with a new virus my cough got bad again. It’s just now going away. I finally had to get some herbal cough drops. That helped so much. It kept me from having massive coughing fits at the worst times.

@aisleofviewtwo when will you have your results?

    WTO/TWW: TWW, I am 2 DPO

Timing/Testing/CS: I’ve been using Mira so I am still testing LH, e3g, and PdG.

How are things going? Any questions?: we are really excited and I feel like two weeks is going to take forever. How do you distract yourself during the wait?

    R/R:
  • @l3mon I’m not going to lie. I go crazy during the TWW. I am a serial tester too. So that isn’t very helpful. 😅 although, I’m determined to wait until 9DPO this cycle. I don’t want anything that is less than a clear positive. I got a ridiculous amount of indents.
  • Beta came back negative. We’ll put our heads together with the RE in a couple weeks to figure out what’s next.
  • @aisleofviewtwo Oh no, I’m so sorry! I was really expecting your next post to be in the grad thread. Sending hugs!
  • @aisleofviewtwo I am sad to see you posting in this thread and not the grad thread. I was rooting so hard for you. I’m sorry.
  • @aisleofviewtwo I’m so very sorry 😞

My lab is historically super quick toward close of business so I’ll go in the next couple of hours, but all BFNs and 11dpo so not expecting any other news.  I was nervous about facing evaps this go round but it’s all been just stark white so no questioning and I’m thankful at least for that.

  • Sorry @aisleofviewtwo and @virginiaham

@l3mon The cycle of hope and possible disappointment is really tough to manage. I try to act as if nothing's changed so I don't get myself too worked up but even after years of trying it's impossible for me to ignore the TWW. Be gentle with yourself, it's ok to feel however you feel. I think I end up reading a lot more happy romance novels and generally seeking cheerful media during the two weeks to distract myself.

How are things going? Any questions?: I think our timing was good again. Had another clear LH spike this time so that was nice.

R/R: Rant: It's really tough to deal with the stress from current events right now. I'm hoping it won't affect my fertility.
  • @ferret22 I hear you. I work in news and it’s been bonkers.

@aisleofviewtwo and @virginiaham im so sorry to hear this. Hugs.
  • @virginiaham I’m sorry. I hope the blood test surprises you and you get your BFP. I also prefer stark white tests to anything questionable. The indents were awful last time.
  • I was hoping for a temp shift this morning but nope. Which puts our last BD further away from possible ovulation day. Of course DH is working another string of shifts and likely won’t be able to get in another BD. Hopefully I have a change in cm today that signals the close of my fertile window and my shift is just delayed. I haven’t used Tempdrop for awhile so I’m not sure if it will give me a shift right away or delay it.
  • Beta was negative and still BFN this morning (12dpo) so I’ve stopped everything and will report CD1 to the doctor and talk about the next cycle plan then.

    WTO/TWW: waiting for period

Struggling with temping and tracking- what app do you all suggest. Got out the trusty thermometer and am going to add that to the routine beyond opk and cm- wondering if I am missing the window

in life - we just had 3 snow days and two late starts at school - my students were insane - it was the shortest and longest week
  • @lilswed I use the Fertility Friend app
  • @lilswed I use Read Your Body.
  • @lilswed I use premom. Their LH tests are very cost effective. I've found their predictions to be very accurate for me but it's def an app with no frills.
  • @lilswed I use natural cycles and it links with my Apple Watch though it also works with manual additions of temps and possibly other wearable tech. The app isn’t free but I like it, it’s been pretty detailed.
