no cribs yet

I am starting to stress out a little bit that we don't have a crib yet let alone 2. My girlfriend is giving us hers since her DD is almost 3 and moving to a big girl bed (they are not having anymore kids) but, I am starting to get tired of waiting for it. We plan on having the babies sleep in our room b/c I am going to BF but, I want to set up the nursery.

I can relate.  My OB suggested having the nursery ready at 21 weeks.  That's only six weeks away!  And, we have nothing done.  It's hard to be patient when you're excited and anxious.

About the cribs, that's the unfortunate thing about getting things from someone else. She's going to give it to you in her own time when she's ready. I'd be bummed too about setting up the nursey though. Maybe casually ask her when you could pick it up?

There was a point in our pregnancy where we thought we were going to lose the boys.  I refused to set up a nursery until we knew they would be born alive.  But, you've passed that point   A lot of people don't have it set up for a bit after they were born even.  We didn't have things ready for Chris until after he was born.  He stayed in a bassinet that my mom and sister gave us.  My mom bought it when they came here after I have Chris.  George set it up in our room since he was going to be in there.  I ended up co-sleeping for a bit.  He wasn't in his crib until he was about 4-5 months.

My point is, if you have things set up in your room or them don't sweat it

she did tell me that her mom offered to buy the new bed for her DD so I guess I just have to wait it out.
