Baby is the size of a (an): romaine lettuce

    Team blue/pink/green: Blue

Upcoming Appointments: Pre-op blood draw on Wednesday

How are you feeling?:  Physically still struggling a bit.  Mentally I can't believe he's going to be here in 2 days.  I'm ready but also not ready.

Rants/Raves: Kind of a rant but not really.  I'm hoping that my doctor is going to be able to deliver my baby.  I had an appointment on Friday and she wasn't there.  They still wanted me to do the ultrasound since the tech can tell me if everything was looking good but I had to go back yesterday morning for the NST because there wasn't anyone there that could read the results.  When I got there, the ladies at the front desk were rescheduling the appointments for that day and saying that the doctor is sick.  I know there is always a possibility that it can be the on-call doctor but I'm just hoping that my doctor is better by Thursday.

    Questions: natm

GTKY:  What is the best and/or worst gift you ever received?  If you answer worst, did you do anything about it?  I have gotten some bad gifts from family.  It's really the lack of thought that bothers me.  I always try to get really thoughtful gifts that I think people would like and then I get "generic" gifts in return.  For example, I hate things on my feet.  I enjoy cute shoes if I'm getting dressed up but that is about it.  But every year someone close to me gets me either fuzzy socks or "fun" slippers.  They have known me my whole life.  You think they would know I never wear them and to stop getting them for me.  I can't say anything either.  I hate confrontation.

Baby is the size of a (an): Lettuce

    Team blue/pink/green: baby boy

Upcoming Appointments: Thursday for both my weekly MFM (biophysical profile) + prenatal OB appointments

How are you feeling?: next level LARGE 😆. Feeling baby descend further but don’t know what’s considered “dropped” or “lightning”. Other than feeling like baby keeps descending slowly over time + my husband saying I look lower, I’m not experiencing the other “dropped” symptoms.

Rants/Raves: getting bigger / larger makes it harder to be as mobile as I want. Getting super uncomfortable doing day to day stuff, not to mention tossing and turning in bed!

separately, I found epsom salt baths to be super relaxing and helps me rest better at night.

    Questions:

have a separate thread for STM and TTM+ re: experience with dropping and lightning. Would love to get thoughts!

GTKY:  What is the best and/or worst gift you ever received?  If you answer worst, did you do anything about it

this is quite hard for me to answer! I LOVE giving gifts so I have joy giving gifts just as much, if not more?, than receiving a lot of times.

Baby is the size of a (an): papaya

    Team blue/pink/green: boy

    Upcoming Appointments: this Friday

How are you feeling?: Tired, slow, achy, but I’ve been sleeping better this week! Also feeling like the finish line is coming up wayyy too fast and there’s too much to do between now and then!

Rants/Raves: my temp replacement at work started today and I’m so relieved to have someone available in case I go out early. Also, our nursery has come together quickly in the past couple of days and I’m excited! It’s not done yet, but so much closer.

Questions: this is weird and very specific: if you got bra pads to protect against milk leakage, will you keep them with your clothes (eg, in your dresser) or with the baby stuff (eg, on the storage cart)?

GTKY: What is the best and/or worst gift you ever received?  If you answer worst, did you do anything about it? I genuinely can’t think of anything on either end! Don’t know if this is because nothing sticks out or just my pregnancy brain 😂

Baby is the size of a (an): pineapple
    Team blue/pink/green: blue
Upcoming Appointments: had an ultrasound this morning, OB check up and another ultrasound next week
How are you feeling?: feeling good!! Baby boy has dropped down quite a bit, so my stomach is feeling less smushed and I'm able to eat more. Definitely feeling a little burnt out and tired lately though, looking forward to the shorter work weeks with the holidays coming up
Rants/Raves: we found out today that baby has hair! I was shocked.. i've had zero heartburn and was convinced he would be a little baldy when he arrived.
I feel like there is still a lot that I need to get done before baby's arrival... I have not packed hospital bags yet, and I feel like I need to get a few more things for baby before he is here (more formula in case breastfeeding does not go well, more wipes... also need to get more post partum care products for myself). I'm praying he does not get here before january 6th at the earliest... but there's a very real possibility he could be here before then so I'm feeling the pressure to have everything ready ASAP
    Questions: none right now
GTKY: What is the best and/or worst gift you ever received? If you answer worst, did you do anything about it? I think this is just sticking out because it's so recent, but at my baby shower a friend gave me onesies in varying sizes for every baseball team that my husband ever played on.. high school, college, minors and indie ball. It was such a sweet gift that meant so much to both me and my husband, I don't even know how she managed to fond some of these. Him and I went to the same high school so that one was extra exciting to see 💙

Baby is the size of a (an): pineapple/table lamp

    Team blue/pink/green: pink

Upcoming Appointments: 12/27; positional ultrasound and OB

How are you feeling?: also quite large and in charge. I’m getting too big for my maternity clothes - what the hell?! Haha I’m also much more winded these days, and baby is way up in my diaphragm, not having dropped at all

Rants/Raves: Rave - we met with and selected a PP doula and are really excited about that support we will get in the first couple months of having a newborn

Questions:  @kamays54, wondering how you are doing?!

GTKY:  What is the best and/or worst gift you ever received?  If you answer worst, did you do anything about it?

cant Think of bad gifts. But best most recent gift is my husband installed a bidet in our bathroom as a Christmas gift to me and I’m stoked!

@Isha - I just got some pads yesterday! I got a 10 pack and am keeping 6 in the bedroom and 4 in baby’s room :)
