is milk of magnesium safe during pregnancy? i’m in my first trimester and i had to take 30ml because im so backed up and uncomfortable. haven’t had a bowel movement in 4 days but worry it wasn’t safe or could of increased changes of miscarriage?? :/

I’m not a medical professional by any means, but my doctor in my second pregnancy recommended I take colace daily as well as my prenatal to avoid constipation.  

I don’t know specifically about milk of magnesium. I would reach out to your OB office to get their advice on what to take

I’m not sure what other ingredients might be in Milk of Magnesium, but I take a magnesium bisglycinate supplement daily, and there is a past bump article “Natural Remedies for Sleep” that recommends magnesium supplements!
