I'm 40+2 today. I'm feeling OK, starting to get a bit annoyed as I've had a couple of bouts of prodromal labor. I'm just trying to relax and not to stress as I went to 41+5 and 41+4 and had days of prodromal with my other two so I could easily have over a week to go.
Still preggo over here. 39w4d along. Contractions off and on for days but not picking up so I feel you on that prodromal labor @cornichonmam Thinking about using the breast pump to induce labor later this week. Will definitely schedule a hospital induction for 41 weeks (next Thu) if no luck by then. Can’t believe I’m going so long with Baby #4!
Feeling tired, uncomfortable and in some form of pain most of the day and night. Also, while I appreciate friends and family checking on me, responding to 50-million “is baby coming yet?” texts everyday is annoying AF. Just trying to keep remembering that I won’t be pregnant forever (even though it feels like it sometimes).
🙋♀️ I'm still hanging on here 41w+1 today. It's not looking like I'm going to be having a November baby. I've had prodromal labor the last 3 nights. I had similar with my other two so this does just seem to be what my body does. I thaught last night was going to be the night because I couldn't lie down through the contractions and I had to put my tense machine on but they still fizzled out after about 4h. Although I have lost a little bit of my mucus plug each morning so at least those contractions did something.
My parents are coming to watch the boys tonight. So I'm going to really do what I can today to get myself into labour. My contractions haven't completely stopped I'm still having one about every 50-60 minutes. I've had a sleep now after being up most of the night and a very late breakfast. My plan for the rest of the day is to quickly do a few jobs to get the house sorted for my parents coming, do some stretches, go for a walk and then hang out in my bedroom away from everyone with my birth ball and labour stuff. I might also try doing some pumping to try and self induce.
I've got my induction booked on Wednesday at 41w+5 but I'm really hoping I won't need it.
Hi Mamas. I'm due March 29th with my fourth baby. I've been having mine a week later each pregnancy. With my third baby, I took it upon myself to induce labor at 41&1 after dinner and didn't tell my midwife, but it worked and I went into labor quickly and I had my baby that night. I really had a hard time with end-of-pregnancy questions with my second and third, so I'm wondering how are you all handling questions like "How are you doing?" "Have you had your baby yet?" "Any contractions today?" They really irritated me the last two pregnancies, as well as comments like "Wow, you're still pregnant?!" and "He'll be here before you know it!"
So I tried to be vague with my due date this time, but I shared with everyone "I'm due at the end of March/beginning of April" and I've noticed people consider me to be due at the end of March - which is true. But I think I would have rather I shared from the start "I'm keeping my due date private."
So I don't know how I'm going to handle the questions. Even if I ignore and don't answer or act like it's fine, I know it messes with my mood just to hear it. What is it like for you all?
