High HCG

Hi mama’s and congratulations we’re here 🥰 question has anyone experienced high HCG? This is my second pregnancy my first HCG this time around was 311 then 48 hours jump too 804! My first pregnancy was 74 jumped to 178. I’m still shocked my HCG is so high this time around anyone else experience this ? If so was it twins ?
Forgot to mention both numbers were drawn at 4 week 10 DPO to be exact

Hi! I don’t have experience with HCG at 4 weeks. Is there a reason your HCG was drawn? Normal HCG levels have a very wide range!

Yes they do have a wide range of normal. It’s wild but I got them drawn the first day I noticed a positive home pregnancy test. I did it with my first my doctors here in Cali run HCG and progesterone to make sure you did in fact ovulate. Then per the norm you have to retest HCG 48 to 72 hours later and this will confirm if the pregnancy is viable and not like an atopic pregnancy or any other complications. I’ve also had chemical pregnancies that I’ve caught early on so I would recommend anyone get hCG drawn. It’s the best way to confirm a viable pregnancy and not just relying on home pregnancy test.

In my Dr. Google knowledge, it should be at least doubling every 48 hrs. We did IVF and had blood drawn at approx 2.5-/3 weeks and was 194. 2 days later was 434 which are high numbers for the time. A high HCG alone doesn’t mean twins, but can also indicate a good implantation.

I basically got my blood drawn at 5 weeks it was 4 weeks 6 days. The HCG level they told me was 6,521
