I got the chicco keyfit 30 and a used chicco bravo stroller, which has been great. My baby is just on the edge of growing out of the carseat at almost 30 pounds, but I can still carry her in the seat if I need to, it’s a good weight. I think I’ll need to switch to Graco for the convertible next step though because Chicco doesn’t have a good slim-fit grow-with-you option that can also be moved to different cars easily.
We have always used Nuna for our baby carrier, and love it!! We also have the nuna stroller, both have been great for first 2 kids and will use for the 3rd!
For the convertible we love the Diono brand. Allows them to go side by side or 3 across because they are slim, but also much heavier than most brands which is good for safety but if you need to move them around often might not be the best choice. We are about to purchase our 2nd diono. What I love is that you can use it from infant size (even though we don’t) to 90 lbs/booster size.
We also have a graco that we use if our kids need to go with someone else or we need one in a different vehicle. That is our “back up”, which is nice for us to have!
We used a Chicco keyfit infant carrier with our first, and had the stroller as part of the travel system. I had a really small car at the time, and it worked fine. We just bought a keyfit for this baby, too, and don't intend to upgrade our stroller. We just need to get a couple extra bases for the infant carrier- one for dad and one for grandma.
