How are you feeling?: I have a slight cough, which is really just annoying more than anything. But I think I have a good system right now to manage the late night heartburn/indigestion. I still get a little bit here and there but no where near as bad. I feel like every week it's getting a little harder to do things. I am thankful that it is starting to get nicer out because I don't feel as drained after running errands.

I am a social person so I do enjoy big parties, but when it comes to certain aspects of a holiday I prefer to spend it just with my family. So for Christmas, I love going to our company party and going to my in-laws for dinner on Christmas night, but Christmas eve and Christmas morning is spent with just my husband and now my daughter.
We did a few small things for Halloween this past weekend but Wednesday night I will carve my pumpkins and then on Thursday we will take my daughter trick or treating for the first time then hand out candy.

How are you feeling?: Physically: very tired and achy, acid reflux has returned. Emotionally: Great! We just had my first of 2 showers yesterday and it was so fun and special celebrating these boys and their precious little lives with so many loved ones. Feeling really thankful!

I'd say depends on the holiday! For Christmas, I feel like we always end up doing several smaller events with specific groups of people (each of our families, our close friends, our church small group, etc.) I probably prefer that so I feel like I can actually spend quality time with the people present.
For Halloween, we went to a party this past weekend (I'll add a picture of our 70's/disco ball costume 😂) and will spend the night of low key with neighbor friends handing out candy to neighborhood kids. I'm excited to see how our holiday celebrations will shift/grow once the babies are here!
I have one pregnant sister in law who is being induced as I write this, and another pregnant sister in law who will be going into labor any day now (she had a false alarm this morning, but its coming)... so so so excited to welcome these babies into our family!
I like a mix of both! Christmas is by far my favorite holiday.. i usually go to one or two big holiday parties which i do enjoy... but Christmas eve and day, I'm all about time with family. Christmas morning is spent at home with just me, my husband, and our tuxedo kitty before we go spend time with our immediate families... and it's just the most treasured time of the year for me

How are you feeling?: physically, better than last week but was officially diagnosed with bronchitis and I suspect this cough is going to be with me a while longer. I AM thankful my reflux has been better managed like @kamays54, and I’m still sleeping pretty well somehow. My stuff is also NOTHING compared to what @jaclyn-ak has been through so I’m not complaining at all! Emotionally feeling a bit more nervous for birth and PP. This is getting real! I had a OB appt this AM and my fundal height was measuring small so that also made my a little nervous, but definitely not panicked.

I’m happy to go to holiday parties but it’s best for me to not host them…I just get too overwhelmed with making sure everyone else is well that I can’t enjoy it myself. My husband and I DO like to host Thanksgiving for family, however; while the history of this holiday is something I try to be thoughtful about, the family traditions centered around sharing food and gratitude are something I love!

How are you feeling?: The carpal tunnel continue to be the bane of my existence. And by the end of the day I feel so tired and achy. Also my feet start out fine and by evening are so swollen. In a lot of ways I'm just ready for baby to be here

One fun thing about being an expat is celebrating "American" holidays together with other Americans. I have fond memories of thanksgivings and 4th of July celebrations with just a bunch of Americans and it's always fun.
But also small celebrations with just immediate family for big holidays like Christmas are really sweet and I feel like I can really connect with my kids without the distraction of there being 1000 people around.

How are you feeling?: Physically I am feeling pretty good. The acid reflux that y'all have mentioned is the WORST! Sleep is terrible and I think my body has acclimated to the nightly unisom I am taking. But thankfully, I am not too fatigued most days. My bloodwork showed really low levels of ferritin so I am taking an iron supplement every other day and I am hoping this helps with some of my fatigue and shortness of breath. But overall, I think I am feeling pretty good!

I used to like big parties but as I have gotten older, I am becoming more and more introverted! I can extrovert when needed but I think I am a bigger fan of small parties and gatherings. I am excited to move into a bigger house so that we can host friends more easily. I am hoping to host a small friends-giving/house warming party at the end of November.

How are you feeling?: Same as recently - mostly ok but slowing down, things ache more often, and sleep is on and off. Some nights I get 9 hours, some nights I toss and turn and get maybe 7. I'm returning from travel today and VERY excited to get back to my pregnancy pillow! I continue to be more emotional than usual as well lol. I'm a little nervous to dig into the baby prep in November because it feels like a lot, but I'd really like to get the nursery mostly set up by the end of November so we can just chill in December (does it ever happen that way? who knows).
GTKY: How do you like to spend holidays? Do you prefer to spend them with a small group or do you prefer to go to big parties? And for those who celebrate, what are you doing for Halloween this year? I'm mostly a small-group person, though New Year's is one exception where I love a big party (though haven't been to one in a while!). I don't have any big plans for Halloween, just keeping an eye out for trick-or-treaters in my neighborhood. We didn't have any last year so I'm not confident this year, but we'll see!
