First Trimester NAUSEA

For those of you dealing with nausea - what’s working for you? I’ve tried ginger, smaller meals, more frequent meals. I’m queasy when I eat, when I don’t eat, when I think about eating - all the time 😩

  • Ugh that’s rough! With my first it felt like I was sick more often than not. Ginger definitely didn’t help me and almost made me more sick. Candy seemed to help lemon or mint flavored things. I’ve had a few queasy days this time around but I’ve noticed when I don’t drink enough or eat it seems worse with an empty stomach. I tried Starry (like sprite) and that seemed to help me get through some queasiness yesterday. Also eating more mild foods that are easy on the stomach. Like banana, plain chicken breast, rice etc. hopefully you can find something that can help you! 🤗

  • i finally got my hands on some Sea Bands and they really help it be not so intense.
  • I got a prescription from my doctor! Metoclopramide. I’ve only puked twice and it also helps me sleep. It’s been so helpful. I know I’d be awfully nauseous otherwise.  
  • I finally got a prescription for some medication and I'm able to eat now which is huge progress. Still nauseous most of the time but it's more manageable now. 
  • I have metoclopramide and another medication that I’m allowed to combine. It’s been keeping it at bay enough that I’ve only puked a handful of times. I’m at week 13 and still pretty nauseous so I’m starting to wonder when my nausea will abate. 
  • Ugh my heart goes out to you. I hope you get some relief soon. Having mints on my bedside table definitely helps in those in between moments. 

    10w5d and the nausea hits hard at night, but I’m still in that gray zone. Lowest point was getting sick in an airplane bathroom a few weeks back, makes my stomach turn just thinking about it. 
  • My morning sickness really hit me hard after the week 6 ended, nausea and food aversion was driving me crazy but "no to morning sickness ginger tea" by secretsoftea really helped great. I never encountered any stress after drinking this tea regularly
