For my first, it was shared with baby shower invitations, sent out by my mom. I think invitations were sent around 6 months, because my shower was kn the early side, before school started again. Beyond that, only if people asked.
I had my shower around 36 weeks and I think the invites started going out about a month in advance? But people will ask whenever, I’m only 22 weeks with my second and have had people ask already
I did the same - timed with shower invites. Brace yourself because once that's out there, baby things will be showing up on your doorstep and it's a whole nother level of "this is really happening!"
Same. However, I live in ND so I had my baby shower already (at 20 weeks) to beat the snow and crappy travel conditions. I've had gifts arriving since I announced at 15 weeks!
Thanks for all the responses! However, it makes me a littttle nervous because I’m 26 weeks & the only person who has bought from my registry is my MIL! Baby shower invites went out a week or 2 ago. I recently posted the link on social media & it has barely gotten any attention. What should I do!?
don’t be worried, a lot of people forget until late! I would post maybe weekly reminders with the link but not be too pushy. My showers were very small and I focused more on trimming down my registry to only must-have items so I could be sure I had what I needed, not only the cutesy stuff. Most registry sites will also let you keep the link until quite a bit after delivery and even give a discount, so you can still be getting items even if people are late to the party.
Definitely don’t push it. People won’t show up to your shower without a gift. Sometimes people wait to order on Black Friday too. Some people wait a week or two before your shower to order. Be patient. Don’t keep reminding. 🥰
