VSD Experiences

I just had my 20 week ultrasound and was notified that my baby has a VSD (heart defect). Wondering if anyone has dealt with this and could share their experience.

Yes- my daughter had a small VSD from birth. We went to the cardiologist annually for an ultrasound to monitor it. Otherwise she was perfectly normal and healthy and didn’t have to do anything else. At her 3 year ultrasound they confirmed it closed and we never have to go back. Most of the time they close as baby grows and their heart grows. Try not to worry too much and just follow the cardiologists plan!
